craigwrx Posted September 26, 2006 Posted September 26, 2006 Craig and Craig. The chuckle brothers. I think craigwrx already has the third cat delete. Also the £55 for the upipe is cool just now, no rush either. Ouch Craig, It might be cheaper for you to stay at home .................LOL [] Only kidding m8, you can square me up when you can for the Downpipe bud. No panic. Sometime this year will do[] Craig Aw I'm touched chaps (Craig and Stephen) ive got u both feeling sorry for me i think ....Seriously though chaps i appreciate it ...[Y] Problem is i get "pocket money" to do what the hell i like with each month, (already all accounted for this month) the other money is joint/savings, and if i use that the wife has to sign for it and hence knows where it is going ....this i try to avoid @ all cost's.. Stephen your £55 should be fine along with the others, the only one i had not allowed for this month was the down pipe from Craig, so what i might have to do is send Craig a cheque off or Paypal later on in the month. Craig []
craig mac Posted September 26, 2006 Posted September 26, 2006 Craig Cheque later is not a problem bud[] Craig
craigwrx Posted September 26, 2006 Posted September 26, 2006 Craig Cheque later is not a problem bud[] Craig Thanks Craig, towards the end of October i will ensure a cheque is in the post, will get ur details at knockhill [Y]
st3ph3n Posted September 26, 2006 Posted September 26, 2006 lol. Have you secured a secret hiding place to store the parts before they all get fitted, then somewhere to hide the bits you'll be taking out? You can pass off the noise or performance as "it's only your imagination dear", and a remap isn't a tangible item, but pipework lying in the garage will always get spotted! And don't store it in the boot as you know what that leads to.

Fingers crossed for completion around Dec/Jan time .. Craig []

andrew_forrest Posted September 29, 2006 Posted September 29, 2006 Is it a head gasket starting to go as you first thought Simon ? Interested to keep tabs on the first parts to 'creak' under decent power on the later WRX's Andy
craig mac Posted September 29, 2006 Posted September 29, 2006 Dont talk about head gaskets please........[:'(] I blew both on my classic.............. Craig
higgy Posted September 29, 2006 Author Posted September 29, 2006 yes i think it is the head gasket . Andy i will be in edinburgh tomorow so is there a conveniant time to come and see you , regarding new parts. Higgy

scoobaroo Posted September 29, 2006 Posted September 29, 2006 Is it a head gasket starting to go as you first thought Simon ? Interested to keep tabs on the first parts to 'creak' under decent power on the later WRX's Andy Are the head gaskets different, i.e. wrx and sti ??? Hope you get sorted soon Simon [] Was there any damage to the block or was it just the gaket that blew ?? Marty.
andrew_forrest Posted September 29, 2006 Posted September 29, 2006 It is still running fine at the moment on normal boost but is losing a little water when thrashed hard so Simon wants to pull it out to check it before anything untoward happens. I think he is really just looking for an excuse to further upgrade [] The WRX has different pistons/heads/cams/compression ratio etc so you can't really compare cylinder loadings directly with the Sti. Andy

Andy This does not answer the question though Andy, Are you coming out to play in your "standard" wrx ? Craig
andrew_forrest Posted September 29, 2006 Posted September 29, 2006 Er, excuse me ! Std Sti [] Its even the basic model with none of the performance enhancements such as elec windows etc [] No I will not be out, I have not done anything to it, no idea what brake pads are in it or what oil etc, don't intend taking it out until its er, had some attention....... just to ensure its totally std you understand []
craig mac Posted September 29, 2006 Posted September 29, 2006 Oh sorry sir[:$] And you bought this for your wife?[*-)] I touch goats m8[] Craig
andrew_forrest Posted September 29, 2006 Posted September 29, 2006 Ah, maybe you are thinking about my MY03 WRX which was sold a few months back. I went and bought an older bugeye Sti the other week......
