I would ideally like to fit some P1/STi suspension but funds are a bit low at the moment. I would like to get rid of the gap when i fit my 17's but would still like to retain some comfort.. What do you guys have fitted and what do you recommend.. Eibach, Tein..H&R ?? Cheers Frank

I'm just down to H&R (which I had on the Wagon and were fine) and some Teins, which I've seen a lot of peeps fit to New-Age and be very happy with. Eibach never look low enough for me and have seen a few Eibach-equipped cars starting to sag a bit at the back after a wee while... Cheers, Grant

Just a bit worried how long my shocks will last once springs are fitted. Sould really check to see what shocks i can get from work (Dingbro). Will standard shocks be ok with H&R's ? and what make are they.. Frank

drb5 Posted August 23, 2006 Posted August 23, 2006 Probably mate. It's more-so the tyres themselves and you'll be on 215/45's i expect? Won't need much though, but i had to warn you. [] I recently changed my sussy to STi5 V5 strut's with PI springs and so far they've been great. I find the rears sit a lot higher than the H&R's, but AFAIK it's the same, except lower, as the P1 sussy. Spoiler-scraping-tastic!![8-)]

euan_r Posted August 23, 2006 Posted August 23, 2006 ive got the whitline springs they do lower a bit are cheap and comfortable. But the wagon does roll a bit too much for my liking round the corners. although having lowered a previous car 40mm my back is very pleased.
drb5 Posted August 23, 2006 Posted August 23, 2006 Na, not worth the hassle IMHO. Besides you get a better top speed with the 45 tyres. I got mine for......£170, but don't tell anyone. [][] They usually go for about £300, but if you can find em cheap, it's worth paying it. As long as they ain't rough as feck and V5 or 6. You could look at KYB shocks if your interested in STi suspension, as they aren't far off the stiffness TBH and they are adjustable dampening too.

I'm just making a point in explaining to make sure they are either v5 or v6 suspension(as they are newer and therefore should be in better condition), but don't buy they if they look as though they have been in a war. I say v5 and 6 suspension is great, but still a bit high for me, on the STi springs. []
