tony_cousins Posted August 21, 2006 Posted August 21, 2006 Sorry to here this Dan, but as Granby said Harvey does a very good one and also Andy Forrest too, both regarded as the best [Y]
deani_age Posted August 21, 2006 Posted August 21, 2006 Hope I don't have the same problem with my Greddy FMIC!
daniel Posted August 21, 2006 Author Posted August 21, 2006 Cheers for that, do you know if they fit them aswell? After today's grief i feel like throwing in the spanner[8-)]
granby Posted August 21, 2006 Posted August 21, 2006 Harvey will fit them but it is a 600 mile round trip (i've done it []) Andy F is even further []
dunks Posted August 21, 2006 Posted August 21, 2006 Hopefully mine fits, having it done this Thursday, bought mine of flat4online and getting deano666 to fit.[]
prodrive tony Posted August 21, 2006 Posted August 21, 2006 Did you open up the hole in the wing for the pipe to pass through near ABS?? Took me ages to get to fit properly, I nearly gave up on it!!

I got it from Ebay, it wasn't a particular make but it said it would fit with no cutting and go straight on! - it's packed up and ready to go back now and i'll get a decent one this time[]
Wee Jock Posted August 21, 2006 Posted August 21, 2006 Bought mine from ebay as well, it was called a Hybrid came all the way from hong kong, thought I bought a snider as well but turned out to be ok in the end!
prodrive tony Posted August 21, 2006 Posted August 21, 2006 Yeah i bet you need to open up hole in wing a bit?? I swear mine would never fit but it did!! What caused fitting probs?? Drivers side I bet??

Deano 666 Posted August 21, 2006 Posted August 21, 2006 Quote Hopefully mine fits, having it done this Thursday, bought mine of flat4online and getting deano666 to fit.[]dont worry neil, i can make it fit, you may not be able to close your bonnet after my work is complete.
daniel Posted August 21, 2006 Author Posted August 21, 2006 The pipe from the throttle body wont reach around the oil filler pipe and line up with throttle body at the same time, the pipe which connects to that is wedged between the rad bottom hose and the fan guard,on the passenger side, from the turbo the first bend in the pipe fouls another pipe(dont know what that one is) and the one which goes through the wing doesnt seem to have quite the right angles on it

I'm gonna have another go at but if a can't get it to fit maybe you could give me a few pointers, I dont think its that important that the bonnet doesn't shut I could hold it closed with some gaffa tape []
granby Posted August 21, 2006 Posted August 21, 2006 Think you should still send it back and get a kit thats made for a Impreza
daniel Posted August 21, 2006 Author Posted August 21, 2006 Quote Think you should still send it back and get a kit thats made for a Impreza I have emailed the guy and he told me he has sold many of these kits and had no problems with fitting. I know he would say that anyway but he does have 100% feedback,
daniel Posted August 23, 2006 Author Posted August 23, 2006 I've had another go tonight fitting it and it's now all in place but to get the bumper on I will need to cut off the bumper fixings at the bottom of the bumper and the boost pipes are touching the oil filler pipe, the inner wing on the passenger side by the tow eye and on the bottom fixing points for the bumper. Does this sound about right[8-)]
Wee Jock Posted August 23, 2006 Posted August 23, 2006 Watch for your pipe coming up towards rhe throttle body, the part from the intercooler which passes up the front of the engine. Make sure its not rubbing against the alternator cover!
daniel Posted August 24, 2006 Author Posted August 24, 2006 Its a tight fit by that pipe near the throttle body, on the other side where it comes up infront of the cam cover it is touching the fan shroud and cam cover
scooby25 Posted August 25, 2006 Posted August 25, 2006 What spec is yr subaru I bought one of ebay as well quite cheat took me all day to fit it .Do u have any pic of the intercooler as im in kent and maybe able to help u.When i saw a pic of it done i thought yer easy no prob but it can be a bitch to do If u not done it before.
