craigwrx Posted July 20, 2006 Posted July 20, 2006 Its looking like my credit card is gonna get hammered ! Was just on the Scott Lowe page, to order my mudflaps, when i noticed the lip-spoiler , i am soooooooo tempted. There appears to be several different types, one where no side splitters are required and the other, i am assuming does require side splitters ...to be honest i am slightly [*-)] If i did purchase, i think i would just leave it black, would match up with the black mesh on my 300. Has anybody got one of these fitted ? ....also need to know if it is likely to scrap after fitting the teins. Cheers Craig []
gus the bus Posted July 20, 2006 Posted July 20, 2006 Craig, there is one which will go straight onto the WRX inc 300 and the other is for the STi style. I would if I was you (unless you want the STi look?) go for the straight fit WRX one IMHO. Should be fine with the Teins as I dont think it will sit as low as the STi style one. St3ph3n has one me thinks!!? St3ph3n? Oobster has one fitted but he has got the Sti winglets so has the Sti style one. If you want to go the STi look the wingletsd are about £150 approx me thinks. Gus This one is for the WRX mate TRU V-lip spoiler (WRX 03- fitment) (TRU3) Another NEW product from Tru, FRP front splitter for the Subaru Impreza WRX from 2003 onwards. Our Price: £150.40
craigwrx Posted July 20, 2006 Author Posted July 20, 2006 Craig, you also have PM re spoiler. Gus No, the idea is not to get it looking like an sti, i'm not really into the "look alike" i just want to do some tasteful visual mods. Thanks for the infomation Gus ...ur a most helpful chap [Y] STi_Bandit - what one did u fit ? did u colour code it ? have u got any pics.
gus the bus Posted July 20, 2006 Posted July 20, 2006 FYI Bandit has the Sti one mate! and left it black. Oobster has the STi and his is colour coded. Gus
gus the bus Posted July 20, 2006 Posted July 20, 2006 heres the sti one fitted in black. (taken from a previous thread[]) cant see any pics of a standard WRX one[] I'm sure St3ph3n will be along shortly and provide you with a pic[]

craig mac Posted July 20, 2006 Posted July 20, 2006 Craig The performance creations ones have 2 hight settings low or even lower, Mine did scuff a little on high speed cornering but are great apart from that, and now after almost a year they dont scrap anymore and are still as good as the day they were fitted[] The splitter i am still waiting to receive Craig

st3ph3n Posted July 20, 2006 Posted July 20, 2006 My mudflaps were fitted pre-teins. They're on the lowest setting, which post-teins means plenty of scraping, especially when the car's loaded up. I should really move them, but I kinda like it.
craigwrx Posted July 20, 2006 Author Posted July 20, 2006 Cheers guys ...all the info has been most helpful, now where would i be without SIDC and its community ! []
wrxmania Posted July 20, 2006 Posted July 20, 2006 Scott Lowe flaps are great - well made and don't flap in the wind like cheaper versions. However you could buy several sets of cheaper ones and replace them every year or two, depending on mileage. Brian []
STi_Bandit Posted July 20, 2006 Posted July 20, 2006 Iam so glad mine came with subaru ones fitted :-) would never buy them myself £200 notes, but i have to say absoultly top quaility Martin
stephen_cheyne Posted July 21, 2006 Posted July 21, 2006 Personally I'm a fan of the Scott Lowe stuff. The mudflaps are very good. I see someone is using my pic below to sell mudflaps on ebay and they aren't Scott Lowe ones. Stephen.
jd Posted July 21, 2006 Posted July 21, 2006 Cant fault the Scott Lowe stuff. Have the mudflaps & splitter fitted to my STI04, (note: do not hit rabbit at 80mph or splitter will need replacing)
