Dalthegooner Posted July 9, 2006 Posted July 9, 2006 After a 600 mile round trip to places never heard of we are the proud parents of a bouncing Type R [][][][][][][][][][] I'll post some more piccys once she's had a nice bath and scrub up [][][][][]
j-k Posted July 9, 2006 Posted July 9, 2006 That looks a cracker matey...one of the best colours also... Oh and how much did she weigh? and have you both decided on a name yet....lol
baser999 Posted July 9, 2006 Posted July 9, 2006 Many congratulations to Mr and Mrs Dalthegooner on your new arrival.......trust parents and baby all doing well []
granby Posted July 9, 2006 Posted July 9, 2006 Very very very nice mate [Y] if there was one classic i would have it would that one []
baser999 Posted July 9, 2006 Posted July 9, 2006 Are you gonna get one of those alarms you can plug into the local grid - anyone tries to nick it and the b**tard gets fried. Makes a mess of your paintwork and smells a bit but hey, the car's still there lol
markie Posted July 9, 2006 Posted July 9, 2006 You've found yourselve's a fantastic looking motor[Y] bet your well chuffed, so will we see it at nottcuts??
tony_cousins Posted July 9, 2006 Posted July 9, 2006 Nice one Dal [Y] Clean and tidy motor well worth the trip [H] Cant wait to see it in the metal [Y] Tony
Dalthegooner Posted July 9, 2006 Author Posted July 9, 2006 Thanks for the kind words people [] I'm still grinning [] She weighed about the standard weight j-k but we've not decided on a name yet. Probably something original like Scooby [] Parents and baby are both doing fine Barry. Baby wasn't too impressed with being clamped so she couldn't move last night but she'll get used to it [] Not decided on a christening date yet Dean. I'll let you know as soon as I get one off of the Arch Bishop of Canterbury [] I've been toying with either a national grid alarm or a plastic explosive one Barry [] I dare say that she'll be out and about soon pouting and looking all sexy Mark []
tony_cousins Posted July 9, 2006 Posted July 9, 2006 Stick a couple of Staffs in the back seat lol should see the theiving scum off [H] Or like you say park it right up close to the house and wire it into the mains [] Or move to a nice area []
matthew_buckland Posted July 9, 2006 Posted July 9, 2006 Lovely looking car Dal, Really pleased you have another one, the high powered push bike can go back in the shed now.[]
daniel Posted July 9, 2006 Posted July 9, 2006 She looks lovely and shes got your eyes too you must be so proud[] I dont think I would of liked to have been at the birth tho.[:|][:|][]
Dalthegooner Posted July 9, 2006 Author Posted July 9, 2006 Thanks people [] The wifes out in it now for the first time. No doubt she'll be driving around looking for other Scoobies as they'll wave back at her now []
Dalthegooner Posted July 9, 2006 Author Posted July 9, 2006 Quote Lovely looking car Dal, Really pleased you have another one, the high powered push bike can go back in the shed now.[] I've decided to keep the high powered push bike out for the station run Sue. Waking the new baby up in the morning for a five mile round trip doesn't do her any good so I've decided not to. Plus I'm trying to get rid of my gut so I can see my feet again [][][]
tony_cousins Posted July 10, 2006 Posted July 10, 2006 Get a cheap run about mate lol Better than abusing the new baby []
HOL Posted July 10, 2006 Posted July 10, 2006 Good choice! Its always good to get a few mods inlcuded from the start and these are great cars. I really do miss my Type R sometimes. The best mod you could ever do is the taller 5th gear though! - One of the best things I ever did. Now get over scoobynet and stick it in the TypeR corner []
bugeyed pig Posted July 11, 2006 Posted July 11, 2006 great looking car m8,good luck and my you have many happy years together
matthew_buckland Posted July 11, 2006 Posted July 11, 2006 Looks even better in the flesh (so to speak) Lovely car,[] Nice to see a scooby back there.[]
