baser999 Posted June 20, 2006 Posted June 20, 2006 You been so long without her, are you sure it was silver when it went to the repair shop and not that two-tone silver/blue ?
granby Posted June 20, 2006 Posted June 20, 2006 Glad you've got your car back but if there is any overspray then you should not accept it, looks like they were spraying something else and forgot to cover your wheels []
tony_cousins Posted June 20, 2006 Posted June 20, 2006 Glad you got your car back but as Granby said, I would say something about the over spray, that is just not professional in my mind, you paid good money for the car to be sorted out yet they give it back like that !!!!

baser999 Posted June 20, 2006 Posted June 20, 2006 Looks like we're going back to the bodyshop then - take Markie along with his heavy hammer lol
granby Posted June 20, 2006 Posted June 20, 2006 I cant explain how p!ssed off i am [] Don't think you have to explain [:@][:@]
mick_weatherill Posted June 20, 2006 Posted June 20, 2006 I know you shouldnt have to do it yourself .But if youve got a rag with a bit of thinners on it and give your hubs a little wipe that over spray will come off .[] I dont blame ya if ya want to take it back to the garage .But the above is a tip if ya want to d.i.y.
T123VOR Posted June 20, 2006 Author Posted June 20, 2006 Cheers Micky /KS But FFS how could they have not noticed that the hubs were blue?! And why were all my wheels off? to repair the rear bumper/skirting? They just assume that you'll rub it with some thinner and get on with it - it's a feckin liberty it really is- i pay £2000 a year insurance i want assurance that a good job will be done Thanks though i'll probably do it myself incase i dont get the car back for 2 weeks!! Cheeky [:@] Trevor
T123VOR Posted June 21, 2006 Author Posted June 21, 2006 Apparantly it's just oxidation? Oops![:$] I feel stupid but they still scratched the boot but i'll never prove it so i didnt mention it [] Anyway she's back Trevor
wedmonds1 Posted June 21, 2006 Posted June 21, 2006 I would tell them they scratched it. As you say, you spend a fortune to have her. Dont let them get away with it. Its a pain but you will feel happier when its all done. Tell them that you are going to tell the entire Scooby world they are crap if they dont help you. I had a rubbish job on my corsa (i know) years ago and asked the insurance company to send someone out as the work was no pants. Which they did. They agreed the work was pants and made the company sort it out.
