lescazscoob Posted May 28, 2006 Author Posted May 28, 2006 we are really looking for classic shape and edens are too new and expensive for us at the moment. also i have been waiting for someone from eden phoning me back this was around a month ago?? we were in having a nose at the macrae edition and the staff member wasnt very helpful (sorry!)
G.T. Posted May 28, 2006 Posted May 28, 2006 http://forums.sidc.co.uk/forums/659661/ShowPost.aspx what about this, if i was you id steer clear of 1st choice cars
SEEVERS Posted May 28, 2006 Posted May 28, 2006 DON'T DO IT.....fact. That ok for you Mr Clark....he he. Seriously though don't.....as GT says i also remember them from thier days at the Clydeside and i know a 100% factual tale about them as the customer involved was my mate.........better not though just in case. Find a better, more reputable garage........that sells reliable cars. Del.
lescazscoob Posted May 28, 2006 Author Posted May 28, 2006 well thanks for advice thought i better check b4 handing over my car and money! we have our r reg 2l sport and about 2.5k thought we should get a k-m reg classic for this but no luck yet??? any offers or where to go? we are in fife but willing to travel a wee bit
G.T. Posted May 28, 2006 Posted May 28, 2006 phone greersport and ask for a price on converting your sport to a turbo there was a nice silver sport rolled out there on thursday complete with a 2.5 turbo and a sport sticker on its ass
lescazscoob Posted May 28, 2006 Author Posted May 28, 2006 we looked into this also and it was working out too expensive? by the time we bought engine you had to upgrade brakes, ecu and loadsa other bits it isnt worth while. also the insurance dont like this it would cost us more to upgrade a sport then it is a turbo. its a bloody strange world eh
RS Grant Posted May 28, 2006 Posted May 28, 2006 Steer clear of them... a friend bought a BMW 325 Coupe from them, nothing but problems, even after they took it back and supposedly fitted a new short motor & cooling system!! [] He was tied into a finance deal with them, so got a MY95 WRX Wagon instead.. Blitz Exhaust, Tein Suspension, Lightweight 16" Wheels and a couple of other wee bits...... *touch wood* its been fine so far, dont think they knew the value of the parts fitted because he got it for a bargain price. I wouldnt choose to buy from them though, they had a nice Evo 6 in when I went to look at the Scoob with my mate, low miles, immaculate interior.......... but the guy freely admitted taking it out and tanning the arse off it. I'd put a lot of money on the fact that he didnt warm up/cool down properly and probably ran on standard 95 ron pump fuel. Cheers, Grant
dipsy Posted May 28, 2006 Posted May 28, 2006 Steer clear of that importer near Stirling.I would never buy another car off them .I ended up sorting the solenoid bracket myself .The way there alarm installer had fitted siren .The solenoid valve was touching the body work and was clicking and vibrating away throught the body work and they did not won't to help with sorting it .So i took the bracket of with solenoid and did a modifaction to it so all fixing holes were back were they are now and no it is not touching any more and siren is sitting better and bracket is sitting like every other sti bracket should
p1ggm Posted May 28, 2006 Posted May 28, 2006 Steer clear of that importer in Dunblane. is that not where you got yours?? you had problems?
dipsy Posted May 28, 2006 Posted May 28, 2006 Yes but i have sorted myself .I have extended that thread
dougster Posted May 28, 2006 Posted May 28, 2006 People please keep in mind it's the club that suffers and NOT me if any dealer wishes to take any comments posted on OUR forums further. Just in case anyone thinks MY comments are directed at individuals. Cheers.
lescazscoob Posted May 29, 2006 Author Posted May 29, 2006 not meaning to be disrespectful but at the end of the day the best way to get business is word of mouth and if the company sucks then people should be warned about them. i know that one person may dislike a company bur when there are a lot of people then really they are only getting what they deserve?? never went after all!!!
