Our condolences to you Gus. We can do many things in this world that we live, and we are making progress against cancer in so many ways, but it still takes so many away before their time and often in sad and almost drawn out circumstances. Some folks may think 68 years is not a bad innings, but when it is your loved one, and epically your Mum….you want them to live forever; then all of a sudden 68 is all too short. Thoughts are with you. More power to Cancer Research and folks like Wilky.

My very good friend,

Kay let me know yesterday about your Mum.  She did indeed put up a good fight against this orid disease, but alas, it won again.  You know that I went through the same with my Dad some years ago now, but had the distance of him living in Leeds to contend with.  One thing you did that I just couldn't bring myself to do, is be by his side when I knew it was iminent.  When he passed away, I was in good hands as I had my friends around me, you being one.  You can rest assure that if you need anything at all, Kay and myself are here for you and Jackie.  What more can one say at such a sad time.

Our condolences to you and your family.

Love you loads bro.

God saw your Mum getting tired,

When a cure was not to be.

So He wrapped his arms around her,

and whispered, "Come to me".

Heartfelt sympathy at this time Gus.

Gus,

Im so sad to hear of your loss, but glad that what the club did made her happy before she moved on to a better place.

Your family are in my thoughts and prayers, as you said celebrate her life, not mourn the loss.

Kindest Regards

Callum

Guys in Girls I've just come home from Bathgate (seeing dad and the rest of the family) and you folks have me in tears[:'(]

I would like to thank you ALL for your kind words and thoughts.

I put the thread up because I couldn't really face individual phonecalls or texts but your sympathy has been overwhelming. It just adds to the fact what I said in my original thread that this club is indeed full of fantastic people.

Hope to meet up with a few of you at the up and coming events/meets soon[;)]

Thanks

Gus

Another of those "what do you say" scenarios. It's times like this that prove what a great community really exists on these forums. If you draw some small consolation at a difficult time from the words written then our job is done as intended [;)]
