IS IT TOO EARLY?

To mention Santa Cruise 2006 ?

This was discussed on Thursday at the Glasgow meeting and it was decided that we should look at a new format for the above.

Basically we should broaden our horizons and divide the cruise between some other places as well as Yorkhill and Edinburgh Sick Kids.

Childrens homes such as Eastpark should be considered as well as homes in Ayrshire,Edinburgh,Central and up north.Although im not an R.O. anymore i would still like to get involved in this.What im looking for is the members to get their heads together and make 2006 the biggest Santa Cruise yet.

I would suggest that different people go into the hospitals and childrens homes dressed as Santa and to take pics.

We could go along with the excellent idea of getting stickers made up similar to the R.B.Memorial relay with all proceeds to Santa cruise.We are nearly half way through the year already and it is time to get this underway a.s.a.p.Anyone who has ideas or would like to help to find out childrens homes in their area please p.m with contact details.

I was thinking of maybe trying to organise a 5 aside SIDC football event to raise some money for the santa cruise.

was thinking, for every goal scored by the opposing team each player donates £1 per goal

Been speaking about this at meets for a few months now Billy. We have a RR day with all proceeds going to Santa Cruise, details to follow, as well as another walk across the FRB for charity, again still awaiting confirmation. So come on guys get yer trainers on and suport the Santa Cruise.

Ive been involved with these over the past two years , same old story Billy , talk all year then sort everything at the last kick , very disapointing last year very poorly organised IMHO and a vey poor turnout of cars for the cruise itself . Ive had various ideas to raise money for this charity event as of the Rb events , but I know that i'll get little or no support from members on here. So to some up . Instead of talking for months on end about how your goin to raise some money ........START JUST NOW....I already have.
