st3ph3n Posted May 19, 2006 Posted May 19, 2006 Firstly I have to apologise as I've completley forgotten who Wilky and Karps and myself were helping out this evening at the meet. I can't even remember if I caught your name. ANYHOO, I hooked the R-Vit back into mine and did a reset. I was peaking at 1.20 bar/hkpa of boost, and with foot to the floor ignition was holding steady at 16 degrees. For anyone that's interested R-Vits can be had here- http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/NEW-JDM-BLITZ-R-VIT-...1QQcmdZViewItem Or there's a new Greddy one here - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/NEW-GREDDY-INTELLIGE...oQQcmdZViewItem I quite like the greddy one actually.
Guest Posted May 19, 2006 Posted May 19, 2006 that would have been chromedome, his bugeye is throwing up cel, etc. alan
chromedome Posted May 19, 2006 Posted May 19, 2006 Firstly, thanks to you st3ph3n, Karps and Wilky for all the help last night it was most appreciated. Was taking the car to Greers this morning and the bloody CEL light came on again!!!! Anyways they had a look but were`nt sure exactly what the fault was as the ecu didn`t throw up any fault codes(big thanx to Bill and Colin for their help). So went from there to S&S,got it hooked up and it turns out the o2 temperature sensor is gubbed.Unfortunately they didn`t have one so need to go back down on Wednesday to get it fitted (OMP!!) Thanx again for the help ,owe you all a drink the next time i see you. Really liked the wee meter by the way,i`ll need to get one of them.
karps Posted May 19, 2006 Posted May 19, 2006 Your welcome m8 (not that i did anything) and i hope you get things sorted.
st3ph3n Posted May 19, 2006 Author Posted May 19, 2006 I can't say that I particularly provided any technical insight either, but the hardware always comes in useful! I use the R-Vit as my boost gauge for the most part, or to scare myself silly watching intake temps in traffic. It really does come in handy if you think you've got some issues though. Anyone else needs it hooked up just give me a shout at a meeting and I'll unhook it from mine.

dipsy Posted May 19, 2006 Posted May 19, 2006 I asked a few dealers who sold the blitz r-vit and they said it did not read boost pressure
slo2 Posted May 19, 2006 Posted May 19, 2006 Count me in at the next meet for a wee check at whats going on with engine.
