Garage Doors

I'm in the process of building a garage and need to sort out the door now.

the door is 5m wide x 2.1m high, needs to be electric and insulated

i'm think on a roller door or possibly a sectional up an over, has anyone had one fitted or fitted one theirselves and could recommend a supplier or brand to use.

Thanks

Try to get a Hormann Garage Door - very strong, 10 year warranty and good value for money.  We used Easy Access Garage Doors, who were a bit rough and ready (left us to finish the cosmetics round the door) but were cheap and turned up when they said.

5 meters wide, now thats what I call a garage Kev.

might need to chat to you sometime as I could be going down that route myself this year  as my garage is crap barely enough room to half open both doors when the car is in.

I have the same ones but with electric opening [:o]. The fiances side is manual though and though door is nicely fitted and the lock seems very sturdy. Getting installed & aligned properly is the key. The 10 year warranty is fairly reassuring though

There are a few kits on Ebay too

Good luck with the hunt. I really need to get round to painting my walls and floors with some of the rubbery durable stuff.

Im buzy trying to source some old roof beems, as I can reuse the sides from original garage,  so will just need to brick up a new back, and hamer on the new roof, then the door hunt will begine,

kev did you build it yerself?
