Can anyone suggest a decent / reasonable place to get my car re-mapped? Just bought an xhaust for it so ready to go!

Ive been told there is a place at Silverstone?....

Nice one Dean, I will give WRC a bell and see what Granby says about the other bloke.

I recommend Bob Rawle as he is regarded as one of the best mappers & Roger Clark Motorsport use him to map all of there cars, the first time he mapped my car it went from 225bhp & 220lbs torque to 269bhp & 300lbs torque and that was with 2 cats taken out (middle cat still in place) & a change of backbox [:D], now i'm not saying any of the other mappers are no good as Shrek has just had his car done by Pat Herbourne and i think he's happy with what he did but i've used Bob a few times and i'm more than happy with his work [Y] the only downside to using Bob is there is roughly a 2 month waiting list [:)] but it's worth it in the end [:)]

Thanks Granby, and I hear what you are saying - but 2 months????!!!!!!! [:'(]

I want it done this month if poss! Or at least prior to the Rolling Road in July.

Dean mentioned that you will be seeing Bob at the weekend - can you find out exactly how long his waiting list is at the moment?

Any ideas on the £ too?

Thanks for your help [:)]

He's in demand [:)] , Bob doesn't actually deal with the bookings so the best thing would be to phone his business partner Branko on 0208 332 7534, if you get a answer phone (99% of the time [:)]) do leave a message and he will get back to you, cost are you sitting down.....£550 + Vat

By the way what car do you have now

I got the Black STI bug eye, had it at Lydden last month..you were there wernt you??

Still see my old green classic floating about on Sheppey thou - sold it to a mate!

Thanks for the info, will call them at the weekend - I was estimating around the £500 + mark anyway.

Yeah i thought you had the black bugeye but i could not remember if it was a WRX or STi & has it got PPP, what parts of the exhaust have you got so far

No, hasnt got PPP - I wish!

Had a custom xhaust made and sent from America, should be receiving it tomoro [<:))] !!!

Want to fit it Saturday.

Got the full system but wana do some finishing touches to the rest of the car and also get it mapped. Completely standard when I bought it, but you can never leave them alone eh?! [:)]

PM the Jolly Green Monster, I'm sure he can fit you in a lot sooner than that and he certainly wont cost as much unless you just want to give him the money!

Simon has just done my car over the last couple of weeks and its now pushing out 1.4 bar boost and a rough estimate 340-360 bhp!

If you want to know how quick it is just ask Phil or Karl from Barretts Motorsport (they have just done a 2.5l conversion of an STi and he reckons mines is much quicker) [;)]

Give him a call nothing to lose and he is a top bloke!

Good luck

Jolly Green Monster doesn't do EcuTek remaps (well he didn't the last time someone asked) as he couldn't get the licence to do them because they reckon there are too many mappers already [:D] still worth a PM though [;)]

Dont think simon does ecutek mapping tho.... so he will not be able to do any newage stuff....

Just a heads up: there is a Group Buy on Bob's mapping services on the P1 WOC at the moment, 499+ vat.

If you're going down the Ecutek route, Id be thinking about Bob, Andy F (who are arguably the two most respected Subaru mappers- you simply DON'T hear of unsatisfied customers with these two) and Powerstation -who also have a GB running- and are very highly regarded. Bob and Andy map on the road, PS on the rollers.
