But dont know for how long.

Thinking of getting rid of the scooby and getting something quicker and more noise.

I have always wanted a TVR amd Em has been stopped twice is so many weeks in the scoob and iam getting sick of it.

I know i have alwaus said i will have a scoob but i think i have grown out of them now.

I will have it until Germany then see how i feel then.

TVRs do sound the dogs Pete[Y]

I expect to get pulled by the cops so I just take it in my stride if i do get pulled. Doesn't bother me now.

I'm sure Germany may make you feel like keepin the Scoob.

See ya saturday bud[:)]

Dont want to hijack this thread with it being a Cads thread and me being a Smacs but i know what you mean mate. in 6 months of Subaru ownership i've been pulled twice and both by coppers with an attitude - i mean come on dont compare me with your 18 year old Nova/Saxo/MaxPower brigade but it does get ennoying.

A lot of our members have discussed this what happens when they move on and change cars and we have decided that they can still attend our monthly meets and runs out, although certain events are not possible (Scooby shootouts etc)

Oh and you want more noise than a Scoob - A Cerbera with Sports pipes should do the trick.

I know of a very good independant who does servicing in the Stockport area BTW.

dont make any rash decisions wait until Tatton and have a chat to the TVR owners there, and see if they are your type of people mate[:)]

I have only been pulled once in 2 yrs of ownership, and that was whilst making progress up the cat and fiddle. Luckily i saw him and slowed before he could get the gun on me so he just treid telling me off then let me go without even issuing a producer.

warby,

If you want I can give you an honest opinion on TVR's we have many dealings with them over many years so anything you wanna know I should be able to help.

Is it a Cerbera or something like that you are considering??

When is the Germany trip? Been to the Nurbugring a couple of times, but in my M3, so hoping to go soon in my Scooby? Also, when is the Tatton day?

TVR's are difficult to recommend really, mainly because there is a few good well built examples out there and they do go for sensible prices these days BUT there is more really dodgy ones where the owner is selling or has sold it becuase they know it will need an engine fairly shortly the straight six engine while has as much power as you want is horribly unreliable, it has improved on newer cars but only slightly. New Engine cost by the way £8000 - £10000 and 16 weeks at the factory ouch!!!

A really nice Chimera or griffith is a safer buy because the rover V8 is pretty much bullet proof and still sounds awesome.

An M3 is sensible buy and for a bit of inside information there is quite a few about at the moment and residuals are not what they once were.

I am trying to think if there is any other properly quick cars that would be suitable and that sound as you want.

Cheers Jeff, it will be later in the year when i decide which way to go.
