Solmaster555 Posted April 18, 2006 Posted April 18, 2006 Apologies if this question has featured before. I have aquired a full set of gold brembo callipers from a new age car. Will they bolt straight on to my Classic (MY00)? I have 17" OZ Superleggeras on the car. Cheers for any help.
col666 Posted April 18, 2006 Posted April 18, 2006 Dont know how they fit on, but my classic has them and they are bloody good[]
col666 Posted April 18, 2006 Posted April 18, 2006 No, just the standard 2 pots good enough for the job. Only prob is the type r has no abs and with brakes this good you have to watch you dont lock up, had a couple of hairy moments!
STi_Bandit Posted April 18, 2006 Posted April 18, 2006 There nice disc col are they the Prodrive upgraded one that are slotted? Martin
Solmaster555 Posted April 18, 2006 Author Posted April 18, 2006 Mate - The Gold Brembos look the dogs behind the OZ's. My UK (MY00) Turbo has just gone through the Andy Forrest treatment, VF23 Turbo and Revolution decat system. At TegSport last Thursday it gave 315bhp and 298lbft torque, so I needed something to make it stop as well as it now goes!
drb5 Posted April 18, 2006 Posted April 18, 2006 You'll need to source the correct caliper/stub bolts and maybe get some wheel spacers. Apart from that, it's a straight fit.
col666 Posted April 18, 2006 Posted April 18, 2006 Havent a clue what make of discs are on mine, once the engines bedded in abit more will give them a good roasting and see how they stand up!
scott_coull Posted April 18, 2006 Posted April 18, 2006 NO they defo won't fit mate. I'll buy them for mines [] These will be my next upgrade I think, running roughly the same figures as you mate and agree that the standard set up aint up to the job. Let us know how you get on with them cheers Coulster
neilswrx Posted April 18, 2006 Posted April 18, 2006 you could try godspeed for brembos, got a good deal from them on s--net fit fine on my 95wrx need 17" wheels is only problem(so far)
Solmaster555 Posted April 19, 2006 Author Posted April 19, 2006 Thanks again guys - Getting fitted (Hopefully without problems!) at the weekend. Will let you know how it goes and what I think of the result.
