thats a bummer.  my car goes there for all it's work.  labour is sensible (30 an hour) and he's got a massive warehouse of used parts if you can't stretch to new bits when something goes wrong.  The owner also spent a lot of time with me discussing exactly what I wanted from my car before it's recent rebuild.

I've never had any problems in 3 years of using them, and my new engine is absolutely fantastic (his mechanic is excellent, spent ages porting my heads to get them spot on)

i could have got the car or a similar one to it for almost half the

price somewhere else but he promised me a full parts and labour

warranty and he didnt live up to it

I was going to buy a Scooby for Indycars
as you say Ac!D you can get a
similar car for a lot less money.  I'm
getting a 1995 N reg Series McRae with 90k miles and private plate M555RAE from
Eden Subaru (as soon as this three week trip is over only 19 sleeps to go) the
car is not in as good condition as the cars you get from indycars but its a 11
year old uk car with average miles and a Subaru history to 70k miles so its
just what you would expected for this age of car.

The thing that put me off buying
from Indycars was all his Scooby’s are second hand Jap imports with supposed
low mileage (how come the Japanese
never use there cars???) (that you and me car buy over the internet for
cheap) then they strip them down and make them look all pretty and sell them
for £15K+. The thing is yes they are nice looking car but for the same money it
would have cost to buy a car from indycars I’m now getting a Series McRae (The
Scooby I have always wanted) and if I wanted to I could get the car re-sprayed
the engine rebuilt and still have pennies left over.

i did buy from him and paid over the odds ,expecting a full parts and

labour warranty ,the (supposed) warranty was the main reason i bought

the car to start with only to be let down by him

That’s a poor show them letting
you down with the warranty.  I would be will pissed!! I was going to buy a White 1996
Subaru Impreza STI V2 from Indycar and the warranty was going to cost extra. But
I found the McRae and had to have it.

Indycars have some really nice car but are they really worth the money?????

all his cars are over priced TBH..but even with my gripes about

warranties etc ive never had a minutes bother with my car since i got

it,  it runs like a dream , i leave it for a fortnight every month when

im offshore , and it always starts first time even in these cold spells

weve had so i cant complain about the car he sold me just paying over the odds for a car and warranty i never got

I've never purchased a car from IndyCars (although he imported mine) or traded in a car there and have no idea of the prices charged for vehicles - My comments were purely facutal about servicing provided which I've found to be excellent.  I can tell you from my regular visits to the showroom that all the cars for sale are tip top condition though.

m555Rae >> second hand Jap imports with supposed low mileage (how come the Japanese never use there cars???)

Well that's easy - the FAQ on any import site will tell you why.  Japanese roads are a nightmare (congestion, tolls etc) and their MOT equivalent is very strict and costly.  Hence well maintained older cars with low miles are common as muck.  And they aren't rusty cos Japan doesn't salt the roads.  There are loads of import sites on the net showing selections of older vehicles with low miles.

Russell >> Kemnay! local to me and very handy.  When you moving?

a full service i need and do you have paper work to prove it has been done

I will supply you the service and supply letter-headed paperwork (ie, a bill) to prove what I have done and what it cost you. Is that OK?

looking to get my 04 JDM serviced and possibly some upgrades fitted. I will have to check my service book but I'm coming up to 14000 miles so would go for 15,000 service and looking to get H&S exhaust fitted, replace panel filter with a green panel and possibly an AVR boast controller installed -  PM an estimate Cheers.
