uk_Mo Posted April 14, 2006 Posted April 14, 2006 Hi guys been looking at selling my minted 1995 WRX Import 44k Part Service History,Full Leather Interior and replacing it with a 2005 WR1 what do you think? anyone got a WR1 and are they worth the money. Hate the 2006 design so wont be any newer than 05 Mo
st3ph3n Posted April 14, 2006 Posted April 14, 2006 WR1 was 2004 not 2005 I'm sure. I wasn't a fan when I'd seen pictures initially but up close and person it really is something special. The colour is really unusual but very cool, and they're great cars too obviously.
weeb Posted April 14, 2006 Posted April 14, 2006 wr1 is a nice car, but a beat one up crail in me old 93 classic!
STi_Bandit Posted April 14, 2006 Posted April 14, 2006 I think the WR1 is a beautiful car i love the colour and looks so different to anything else on the road. Id did look at getting a WR1 when i got the STi and opteed for the STi only because the service intervals on an WR1 are 7000 miles and the STi is 10,000. Martin
uk_Mo Posted April 14, 2006 Author Posted April 14, 2006 it's either a WR1 or a nice RB5 cant really decide need to sell my car first Mo
STi_Bandit Posted April 14, 2006 Posted April 14, 2006 There was a lovely RB5 for sale on the forums a wee while back, personally id go RB5 route i think they are beautiful machines wish i could own one some times. http://forums.sidc.co.uk/forums/630456/ShowPost.aspx

Gee Wr1 Posted April 14, 2006 Posted April 14, 2006 Go for the WR1 you will not be disapointed! It is a brilliant all round package. Service is every 5000 not the 7000 stated above, but 10k,20k,30k etc services are same as a sti & the one every 5000 is more or less just a oil change(which everyone should do anyway every 5k). Also cheaper to insure than a sti. I touch goats Gee
STi_Bandit Posted April 14, 2006 Posted April 14, 2006 Sorry Gee Wr1, i honestly couldnt rember what the service intervals were all i remebered was that it was different to the STi and it stuck in my head of 7,000. 100% agree on the insurance WR1 to insure is Cheaper to insure than an STi with a PPP on it the insurance company see the PPP as an mod and whack the insurance up. Where as the WR1 has 310bhp as standard [] Martin
wrxmania Posted April 15, 2006 Posted April 15, 2006 320 HHP as standard IIRC - geez Martin, get googling [] []
STi_Bandit Posted April 15, 2006 Posted April 15, 2006 Sorry Brian I made a wee mistake in my calculations there the WR1 is quoted as having standard 320ps as standard and i was converting PS to BHP which would be 315BHP i think i hope not 310 must of put a figure in wrong. Martin
dieselpower Posted April 17, 2006 Posted April 17, 2006 WR1! The only thing I don't like about it is the g/f keeps taking it! []
