yeah mate: i always take the impreza keys upstairs and the bmw ones, however last night jo was out in the car and wasnt sure if she had locked it so i nipped down used the spare key to lock it and threw them on the stairs...they took them throught the letter box same as all the other cars that went last night........

raging as its the first time i've done that....[:@]

yes it could have been worse......the bmw is a company car as well, so just need to wait on a replacement vehicle now......have spent the morning clearing the garage out though and scooby is going in it tonight behind lock and key even if i have to cut it in half to get it in there......[:D]

i know what thats like getting your car pinched... same thing happened to me when i was a cavalier driver.. car stolen from under my nose.

found 2 days later in Girvan with a full tank of fuel but no wheels or steering lock [:D]

then i got another cavalier and they tried to steal that one. whilst i was having my dinner and i was watching the car roll down the slight hill with the guy running along side it... case of stopping the car or chasng the theifing Barsteward.. turned out it was the same guy.. just waiting for him to come out of sunny saughton.. got 5 years for pinching cars

Police are pretty sure I wont see the car again....as it seemed quite organised with the other ones being lifted as well. To be honest with it being a company car I wasnt that attached to it, Im more upset about the little personal things i had in like things my daughter made me at nursery etc......

ah well better go and start filling out insurance forms....

cheers guys

Shocking m8, at least the scoob is ok,

I read last year on one of these forums that a guy had his car nicked, same as you put his keys on the stairs and they fished them out through the letterbox,

Nasty one, but at least the Scoob is okay.

When we had the bad snow a month or so ago, I was kinda shocked to see footprints right round my motor in the morning that had been left during the night. My car is parked pretty tight against my house and as the pic below shows (and you can see the footprints), there is NO reason anybody would have cause to walk round it unless they were casing it. Bloody freaked me out. The CCTV is on order.
