I'm just testing the water for a mate. He's only 24 so I'm looking for something unmodded, maybe even a wagon as the insurance would be a crippler on anything else.

It would be better to have one to view and drive within 100 miles of Dumbarton.

There is a test drive booked at S&S for later next week but if anyone is selling, or knows of a clean example for sale, please let me know.

Ken, I bought a new euro import WRX when I was 23 and I paid about £800 on insurance with 3 years NCB if that helps.

He has a clean licence but recent quotes for insurance have been >£2K. It might be his postcode that's bumping it up.

God, you could buy a decent Classic for a wee bit more than that at today's prices.

I'm just trying to get another victim into the fold - I've managed one so far - and keep the community ticking over.

I have an unmodded MY03 blob eye for sale here. I am much further away than 100 miles, however I believe that my honesty in a prolonged chat and multiple photos would go far enough to warrant getting on a cheap flight to Luton or Stansted where I could meet your friend. ; )
