G.T. Posted March 16, 2006 Posted March 16, 2006 meerkat exhausts in kilbirnie will do you a turbo back exhaust all hand made for about 500 quid can make it as loud or as quiet as you like just pick a tailpipe and away you go ask fow wullie 01505685235 http://www.meercat-exhausts.com/
st3ph3n Posted March 16, 2006 Posted March 16, 2006 If you just want the backbox then the H+S jap slash sounds just fantastic. I will be selling mine in a month or two when I get a full turbo back system fabricated somewhere.
paddy247 Posted March 16, 2006 Posted March 16, 2006 I agree, the hayward and scott slash cut jap spec is awsome, thats wot i have with a full decat, its loud, but wasnt to bad with the cats in place.
scoobyscoop Posted March 16, 2006 Author Posted March 16, 2006 was only wanting to spend about £250-£300 thats why I thought magnex,I take it nobody rates them that highly?
Gumball Posted March 16, 2006 Posted March 16, 2006 buy a Hayward and Scott japslash box for £225 delivered. then get a tank of optimax with the difference and burn it out the new tail
st3ph3n Posted March 16, 2006 Posted March 16, 2006 www.st3ph3n.com/engine.mp3 - should be a recording of my japslash in a tunnel on there. It does sound fantastic up close and personal.

~ ~ Cal ~~ Posted March 16, 2006 Posted March 16, 2006 have a look in here http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread...threadid=447182 H&S Scoobysport gives the orginal WRX growl yet is relatively quiet at low revs.......until you pump the fun pedal then it sings a sweet tune ! See in here for detail and a video clip http://www.rallyperformance.com/engine.shtml It all depends how loud you want it . The Magnex does sound good though. Click for the oringal growl http://members.aol.com/toolmantimtaylor/Su...uff/SCOOBYSWEET at first i thought it was cack until someone else did a fly-by in my car and then sweet Jaysus ! Cheers Cal
G.Mac Posted March 16, 2006 Posted March 16, 2006 Meercat all the way!!!!! If your only wanting a back box he will do one for approx £150 I think, but full system is well worth it, car is a totaly different animal with the snakehead Get some raffle tickets for the Richard Burns charity dinner from Peter (FAI 17 ) as one of the prizes is a Meercat back box Graeme
kloon Posted March 16, 2006 Posted March 16, 2006 Can I throw the Scoobyworld Afterburner Vortex into the mix, lovely []
sharon_mccall Posted March 16, 2006 Posted March 16, 2006 i have a magnex 6x4 oval on my sport and i think it sounds great. i would recommend one m8.
craig mac Posted March 16, 2006 Posted March 16, 2006 Gumball What pipe is on your video clip m8? Sounds AWESOME Craig
st3ph3n Posted March 16, 2006 Posted March 16, 2006 Think the gummybear has a full H+S Decat + GT Spec(?) headers. First time I heard it at full tilt was leaving shell kincardine on the way to knockhill one day. I was fuelling up and he was heading down to the waste ground. It sounded like the 4 horsemen of the apocolypse had just left in a hurry.
clutdav Posted March 16, 2006 Posted March 16, 2006 Quote what exhaust does everyone suggest?wanting to get a good sound without being excessively noisey-thought about a 6x4 magnex I have a 5" jap style magnex cat back exhaust on mine. I would recommend it as the build quality is top notch, the noise is fantastic and price is good. I have a short video of it here - http://media.putfile.com/Subaru-Story Dave
peter_macgowan Posted March 16, 2006 Posted March 16, 2006 I have a ninja backbox myself with de-cat back and centre section. Its a good sound without being too loud.
Gumball Posted March 16, 2006 Posted March 16, 2006 its a hayward and scott system with gt spec headers so itll sound a bit different than standard, but yes the hayward is a nice sound regardless.
STi_Bandit Posted March 17, 2006 Posted March 17, 2006 Hope this helps any mate [] http://www.clubwrx.net/forums/showthread.p...mp;pagenumber=1 Martin
