dave_morgan Posted March 7, 2006 Posted March 7, 2006 Anyone know anything about the Skyline? What's it running - 1.2 bar on steel internal tubbies?
spooks Posted March 7, 2006 Posted March 7, 2006 Ginge from the forum could answer best your question about the Skyline Dave but as far as I know it was running twin HKS turbos at 1 bar using a HKS boost controller. Unknown if it was running standard internals ( i forgot to ask). Judging by the power expected from it I would imagine that it had uprated internals but from Japan as it wasnt too long in this country from what i gather. He admitted his boost controller was the limiting factor as he wasnt too sure how to set it up. Now I could be totally wrong in all of the above ya know [] Spooks
Johnny50 Posted March 7, 2006 Posted March 7, 2006 After a brief conversation with the owner, it seems the boost controller was all over the place, otherwise it would`ve been a lot stronger on the rollers. As if it needs to be !!! []
dave_morgan Posted March 7, 2006 Posted March 7, 2006 I suspect it was running more than 1 bar if it was getting 470bhp, so perhaps the boost controller's not holding the boost down correctly. I was getting around 430bhp at 1 bar, and that was a 2.7 litre! I'll just need to make sure I get along to the next one to have a chat!
Fee Posted March 7, 2006 Posted March 7, 2006 Good photos Peter [] Sorry I didnt make it.....I was up early ready to come along....long story!
