baser999 Posted February 22, 2006 Posted February 22, 2006 My mot is due in the next couple of weeks and my only concern is with the zorst - it has been suggested that certain garages might fail it as one of the cats was taken out when the zorst was replaced . Anyone know any garages where this isn't likely to cause a problem - spoke to Deano666 and he believes Dunks and Monty have just had their motors tested so if either of you can help me out I'd be grateful.[]
dunks Posted February 22, 2006 Posted February 22, 2006 Hi Basser, I took my car to Popular motor service, 32 Monfort Road, Strood, Kent, Tel 01634 724134, had no problems with passing my mot with a little help of a couple of 's, hope this is of use to you.
baser999 Posted February 22, 2006 Author Posted February 22, 2006 Cheers dunks - perhaps give them a call, or may even drop in as I'm down to Rochester in next few days.
M25 FLYER Posted February 22, 2006 Posted February 22, 2006 Hi Basser,I took my car to Popular motor service, 32 Monfort Road, Strood, Kent, Tel 01634 724134, had no problems with passing my mot with a little help of a couple of 's , hope this is of use to you. If its missing just the centre cat then passing the emissions test shouldn't be any problem at all.[] P.S, I hope the lads at Popular Motors dont mind you posting on an internet forum the implication that extra beer tokens will help sway a test result. (Apologies if thats not what you mean but you never know who may read your post.)[*-)]
leon Posted February 22, 2006 Posted February 22, 2006 due to the new computerised system i thought it was impossible to do now!

dunks Posted February 22, 2006 Posted February 22, 2006 Yeah only meant it as a laugh regarding the beers, but after reading it again i can see how it could be taken the wrong way, Thanks for highlighting it to me[:$]
dan_trent Posted February 23, 2006 Posted February 23, 2006 Got my MOT coming up soon so I'll bear this in mind. Been punting this scheme about so apologies if you've heard this already but I'm sampling as many opinions as poss... Anyway, got an import WRX which will shortly have a de-cat downpipe. What's the concensous on whether it would pass the import non-cat emissions with just a centre cat? Or am I totally in the clear thanks to it being and import? Sorry if this is re-treading very familiar ground...
