alistair_learmonth Posted February 20, 2006 Posted February 20, 2006 Was at Crail it was baltic, my young lad was on the 1/4 mile with his silver saxo, spining and going nowhere at the start. Got some pics of cars on the track, there was even a green one ruby! and i want to know how a missed the chics, my lads mates said there were some in a van, she must have been brave, did no bits fall off then, it was brass monkeys. It would had been better going down the strip at least you be warm. I thought it was,nt a mag day just the first Crail Crash so no tents. If a could get my photobucket to link I would post pics.
RS Grant Posted February 20, 2006 Author Posted February 20, 2006 Ally, were you parked next to a Silver MY97/98 Wagon with graphics?? Me and my friends were standing next to the gates up the top, in front of a Prodrive Style STi on Superleggeras towards the middle of the afternoon... If it was your car, it looks even better than it did in the pics you put up. [H] Cheers, Grant
RS Grant Posted February 20, 2006 Author Posted February 20, 2006 Forgot to say... Baz & Cal, not sure who those guys were I'm afraid. [:^)] Cheers, Grant
alistair_learmonth Posted February 20, 2006 Posted February 20, 2006 That was mine, I went back and a silver wagon with AWD stickers was parked next to. If P1 thought he was,nt quick he sounded damn good going off the line, if a new you were in the beemer RS a wid have taken a pic by the way.
RS Grant Posted February 20, 2006 Author Posted February 20, 2006 Its alright mate.. to be fair, you wouldnt expect a member of a Subaru Owners Club to be farting about in a BMW Cabrio!! [] Yea, (p1ggm) Gordons car was sounding great today, I can confirm his car kept sounding nice all the way up the strip... never got any quieter either, even though he kept pulling away from me!! [:$][] Cheers, Grant
p1ggm Posted February 20, 2006 Posted February 20, 2006 Grant you claim to fame for the day thou must be beating the 328 , the BMW is so quiet up the strip, and pretty damn quick for a diesel
mazheriqbal_mohammed Posted February 20, 2006 Posted February 20, 2006 Was not too bad a day even if it was chucking it down for most of it, just meant you got to lap up some wheel spin at the strt for once. Only managed a 13.8 which inspite of my 2.6s 60ft times and nearly smshing into the tyre barriers on a couple of occations [] There was a definate lack of stands about on the day, and the queue was a nightmare (too nearly an hour to get round on one occation!). Was also pissed off at the number of folk that were cutting the queue by challenging some guy about ten metres from the front, just leaves you with around 20 cars getting constant runs and the rest of us getting more and more pissed off!! Was really annoyed i got caught speeding on the way down too doing XXXmph which aint looking too good on the old points front, left in the courts hands to decide now (i only have mself to blame).
RS Grant Posted February 20, 2006 Author Posted February 20, 2006 Iqy, I saw you in the queue to race a few times... never managed to catch your eye, and thought it might confuse you to see a random waving from a BMW. lol [] Gordon, you're right... I was pretty happy I beat the 328, dont think the guy was too happy when I told him it was a Diesel that had just smoked him... I even gave a comedy blip of the throttle to prove my point!! [H] Cheers, Grant
