advice please

Is it possible to powdercoat gold wheels silver? Does it work? As I think I seen on another thread that it couldnt be done.

Not sure - I have heard that some wheels don't take very well to powdercoating - but then again many people get it done.

Also depends if the cost is worthwhile or if you can get the same wheels in silver already for the extra amount.

Mind that bloke from up north (i forget his name - he's an RO) got his wheels done in Pink - and i'm sure they were gold STI wheels before.

Yes it's possible, any wheel can be changed to any colour...if done correctly.

Try ESP in glasgow, very good at what they do.

Who every powder coats them .Would shotblast them first to change the colour thats what i think

I think dipsy has a good plan, a quik blast first then a coat !

But im sure the folk that do it would keep you/me right .

The wheels would be dipped and stripped of ther original paint anyway

The wheels are blasted back to the bare alloy so the colour you choose can be done,some coaters do chrome paint if thats your thing.

Terminator....i ask about 1 set of wheels that some thought were a bit chavvy

and the next thing you know....you've got me decked out in chrome wheels,burberry tracky and lacoste

slip ons...LOL

Seriously though i'm wanting to buy Gumball's wheels and change them to hyper-silver,just

wanted to make sure it could be done.
