st3ph3n Posted December 14, 2005 Posted December 14, 2005 Yes, I will be entering the scary world of the drifter. Just waiting on this being shipped in straight from the far east. Drift Spec Impreza.
ScoobyAndy Posted December 14, 2005 Posted December 14, 2005 mmmmm very nice. Must be the weather for looking at things like that as i spent a few hours earlier looking at them and getting bad ideas
sharon_mccall Posted December 14, 2005 Posted December 14, 2005 That is one very sexy scooby. FFS, am drooling again.............
st3ph3n Posted December 14, 2005 Author Posted December 14, 2005 The question is - Rally Slag look like the picture, or paint it black, stick a big ginger fecker in the driving seat and make it look like mini-me.
G.T. Posted December 14, 2005 Posted December 14, 2005 lol never mind battery power nitro is the way to go 60mph plus
ScoobyAndy Posted December 14, 2005 Posted December 14, 2005 << The question is - Rally Slag look like the picture, or paint it black, stick a big ginger fecker in the driving seat and make it look like mini-me. >> Keep the rally slag look
st3ph3n Posted December 14, 2005 Author Posted December 14, 2005 << lol never mind battery power nitro is the way to go 60mph plus >> I got it for £60 though! Someone I know was building a car for their kid and I remember building my first Tamiya one and loving it, so I went for a wee jaunt round the internet and found this Drift spec one and I was sold. If my paint skills were up to it I'd maybe consider doing it in the Yukes Impreza colours, but I've got the hand eye co-ordination of a small child when it comes to small details.
SEEVERS Posted December 15, 2005 Posted December 15, 2005 Any idea how quick that goes Stevo....i've just finished off the DeAgostini RC Impreza(which can be modded)and thought maybe we could race when i catch up wi you next LET'S GERRIT ON...... Del.
st3ph3n Posted December 15, 2005 Author Posted December 15, 2005 Think I read 28mph for a standard TT-01 chassis Del. This one is a TT-01D as it comes with a better motor and bearings and stuff. I was tempted by that one you were talking about, but I'm a sucker for a drifter. We'll get them out for the lads at the January meeting eh? I'll maybe even see if I can get the brat working too! Got that when I was about 14!
SEEVERS Posted December 15, 2005 Posted December 15, 2005 Taking a while to build is it auld yin?? Del.
st3ph3n Posted December 15, 2005 Author Posted December 15, 2005 It met the whirly out the back at pace and snapped the steering on it. For the 3rd time! I've found somewhere to get parts so I might get some and get it all fixed up.
Gumball Posted December 15, 2005 Posted December 15, 2005 in the mid 80's i had this badboy. i want another one now !!!!! grrr hornet
st3ph3n Posted December 15, 2005 Author Posted December 15, 2005 Like this one Chris? That's who I've bought mine from. You'll need a controller kit with servos + receiver etc. and also batteries and charger. £60 for that as far as I can see.
Gumball Posted December 15, 2005 Posted December 15, 2005 i will look around. maybe im being a bit strange. i need to consider if in my housing bit i could be seen as a 27 year old guy playing with that. how vain
