scuba dou Posted December 2, 2005 Posted December 2, 2005 Anyone seen the details yet? Where is it going to cross over the A96 and which roundabout will it tie into? Must be going out between Kingswells and Westhill, so I suspect it must come right past Blackburn, and it could only do that on the west side of Blackburn; due to the Tyrebagger hill, and also the hills between Dyce and Fintry. Interesting stuff! Also seems a bit strange that we spend huge sums of tax payers money doing many high dollar studies, (5 routes were considered I believe) and then the MSP comes along and completely does his own thing should called him in early doors and saved the last two years and all the money doing the studies
Iaing Posted December 2, 2005 Posted December 2, 2005 Aberdeen Ring Road Theres a map on there Jools. It will give you a rough idea of where it runs. Iain
clutdav Posted December 2, 2005 Posted December 2, 2005 They don't say where it is going to go which is rather annoying....... Dave
Iaing Posted December 2, 2005 Posted December 2, 2005 Theres a link on the bbc website to a map of proposed route
clutdav Posted December 2, 2005 Posted December 2, 2005 I had a look at some of the links and I couldn't seem to find the map - could you point me in the right direction please. I have an interest in this as I live in Blackburn and my folks live in Milltimber............Council scumbags Dave PS Thanks Ken555
WUZ Posted December 2, 2005 Posted December 2, 2005 Saw a copy of the NEW propsed on that goes through Milltimber (near Kippy Lodge) and it looks nasty for the house prices over there TBH! Might need to move out of Kingswells sooner rather than later Russell
johns Posted December 2, 2005 Posted December 2, 2005 I think it crosses the A96 at marshall trailers. I've heard that what has happened in other places where bypasses have been built, that house prices actually start rising, as people realise the huge benefit of living near to a road with very quick access to any part of the city! I always thought it was silly that they didn't provide a link from Stonehaven - will make a huge difference in travelling times to/from Knockhill for us John
duka Posted December 2, 2005 Posted December 2, 2005 my understanding is that the route cuts off at the Cove turn off on the Stonehaven road when travelling north & cuts back 6 miles to the bridge at 'Champers' - [showing my age now!] - why they diddn't consider the turn off at Stonehaven to the 'Champers' bridge I'll never know!
