using the momentum from the successful day organised by Gumball yesterday and slightly separate from Squirrel's post re potential venue for the next run, i would like to have some form of structured feedback from the November photoshoot/run, whilst it is still fresh in our minds.

I have devised a simple poll to find out what the majority of you view as a priority on these types of runs and also some questions to gauge how long you all would like to drive/spend. Things like safety and police presence are a given.

Please keep this on topic. This is your chance to have your say and influence the format of the next run

Please copy and paste the following:

On a scale of 1 to 4 (1 being dont really care to 4 being mega high priority), rank the following criteria:

a - challenging roads (sweepers, hairpins, flat out straights)

b - toilet facilities

c - hot food facilities

Please provide a number for the following:

d - preferred mileage in total - X miles

e - preferred duration of day - X hours

f - number of rest stops during a typical 4-5 hr run - X breaks

g- preferred expenditure on fuel - £ X

c - hot food facilities .......................................................................1 (Lyndsey usually has half the shop in the back)

Please provide a number for the following:

d - preferred mileage in total - as far as we get in 4 hours

e - preferred duration of day - 8 hours

f - number of rest stops during a typical 4-5 hr run - Probably a break every 2 hours

g- preferred expenditure on fuel - £ what it costs to drive the miles

Would be happy to drive longer if it didnt feel like a race. Enjoy the runs and spirited driving but the driving i enjoy most is driving

at the limit round twisty roads without the fear of ending up in a ditch or getting nabbed speeding.

Anyone can drive fast in a straight line!

Favourite part of yesterday was the run back down with fast scooby and sharon - fast, sensible and confident I was always in control.

Here here. i'll second all that. face-icon-small-happy.gif

I wasnt there on Sunday but sounds like all went well. Though how about a Grant and Gumball combination for organising? Organising one of thse isnt easy and would be far easier if it was shared by a couple of people.

I know the November run was special as it was for the photo shoot, but I think if there was a wee incentive to going on them then perhaps more people would come. I'd never been THAT fussed beforehand, but having been on this one I will now be a regular attendee next year as I really enjoyed the day. Maybe the next time we organise a wee bit of filming along the way and make a DVD of it?

Chris' organising of the day as a whole was great, and Grant and Imy's organising of the run itself was just as good.

Maybe the next time if we try anything as audacious as a colour coded group photo then some sort of synchronised parking course should be attended by everyone first though!

thats the mindset behind the november run. the photoshoot was the added bonus to attract as many people as possible. it worked well.

to have something as stephen says in future

a camp overnight

a dvd

a magazine feature- jap tuner, banzai, scooby mag etc

a treasure hunt/checkpoints

a BBQ

all these kind of things should ensure max attendance

edited to say-WE SHOULD HAVE THE MARCH, THEN AIM FOR AN OVERNIGHT MASSIVE EVENT THEN AUGUST AND OCTOBER[b[
