Tyre Size - Will they fit

Has anyone got 225/40/18 rims/tyres fitted to thier car with tein s type springs.

Its for my 03 wrx and just want to make sure they will fit ok.

Standard size is 215/45/17 and was recommended to fit 215/40/18. Just fancied the wider tyre.

Any suggestions/comments ?

Al, think you might get a wee bit of outer arch rubbing with that width of tyre especially on the rear.Also, may depend on the offset of wheel you are fitting too.

Al - i've got 225/45/18's on mine. Not got the Tein springs fitted, but i do have prodrive lowered springs and the tyres don't rub at all, even when it bottoms out over bumps/dips.

With the correct offset on the wheels then 225/40/18 will go straight on ...no probs

Stud Diameter: 100

Rim Width: 7.5J

Rim Diameter: 18 inches

Offset: 50

Number of Studs: 5
