Road angel and the like

i have a road angel £399

it has a sensor front and rear, remembers the loc of cameras, blackspots, schools.

picks up the laser beam front and rear.

i think it is very good in that it always beaps, speaks and flashes nearing a camera, ie 500metres before.

what it doesnt do is detect the laser gun fast enough. cop fires beam-0.2 secs. the RA sensors take 0.5 seconds so your always pinged and cant do anything.

if you want to get all the camera and the lasers get a jammer too !!! fitted to your grill (NO WORRIES !!!)

Picked up a classic Road Angel last boxing day in the Halfords sale for half price. Well worth it.

Also got my TomTom Mobile 5 on my smartphone which has speed cameras on the points of interest, and it does sat nav too of course.

Went into Halfords and had a look.

New road Angel £349

B2 £429

Both free fitting to connect direct usually £39

Both free six months but the yearly cost are higher for the B2, though I have been informed the B2 is quicker with updates to register cams, etc.

Origin B2 - great bit of kit, does lots and always finds the camera's I pass - never missed one and the warning is exceptional - like all others, the laser won't save you unless lucky.

I may be selling mine for reasonable offers... (7 months subscription left)

Jammers are illegal.

On a completley unrelated manner - I hear these automatic garage door openners are good.

A nudge is as good as a wink to a bald man. Or something like that face-icon-small-wink.gif
