corsa Posted October 22, 2005 Posted October 22, 2005 Cant you tow a scooby more than a few miles without having to flatbed it? Is it the diffs or is it something to do with the engine. Just 1 of those questions i dont know the answer to.

the squiggle Posted October 22, 2005 Posted October 22, 2005 The pump for the oil cooler in the gearbox runs off the first motion shaft, if the car is being towed the first motion shaft will not be moving and hence the oil cooler wont be cooling. The oil in the box overheats and then the gears expand due to overheating and eventually break Grant
