Messing about with this application and just clicked on a TOTALLY random spot in the middle of the US.

Zoomed DIRECTLY in the middle and guess which road Google showed me the way to!!!!!!!!!!!

Dougs,

Great program, but a little bizarre at times. Fact is sometimes stranger than fiction, depending upon the magnification you select. As is life...

For example, I chose Central Square Cincinatti and it listed four areas of interest :

Organisation to Counter Sexual Assault, Mid-America Arts Alliance, National Center For Fathering, & Young Grand-Parents? Club.

Coming to a place near you soon!

I tried charting the fishing locations about the Stockiemuir (Glasgow - Drymen) Road but it got a bit blurry; this may make this area a good place to hide from satellites!

The NASA version is Pi-Ash!

Says it all really.

I agree with u Ken. I thought the NASA one would be best, but it is not worth the 4 hour download wait!!! Google earth is fantastic. Have you used the tilt function, and add 3d buildings. Amazing.

Yep, pretty good.

The NASA one is shockingly bad, but their website is seriously good apart from that if you're into these things.

I think the first thing people do is to look for their own house. I know I did! And found the bugger; the grass needed cutting!

I've only got the free version, I believe there is a deluxe revision to which you have to subscribe.

I've also heard that certain areas are blurred out for maybe security reasons eg : Faslane, Rosyth & a certain part of Nevada. Also "Glasgow" Prestwick.Security?

Who's watching you, watching them, watching you?

Google Maps still has unblurred images.

Anyway Amarillo was a little weird!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! face-icon-small-happy.gifface-icon-small-happy.gifface-icon-small-happy.gif

Glasgow isn't covered but a good bit of Greenock and Loch Lomond is.
