andy Posted October 7, 2005 Posted October 7, 2005 Silver 3 Series, Reg No: RJ52 CHN. Was out on the M9 this morning. Pulled someone over just inside the 50 limit on the Newbridge underpass. Let's be careful out there...
2559B Posted October 7, 2005 Posted October 7, 2005 Just to add to this ................ 2 men sitting at the little bridge/fly-over on the M8 just before Harthill services. ( if your travelling East. ) dunno if they were cops but had high-vis jackets on & looked a bit shady ???? They are sitting right in ther corner of the fly-over !!!
andy Posted October 7, 2005 Author Posted October 7, 2005 And just heard from a mate that there's a camera van sitting on one of the flyovers on the M9 around the Kincardine turnoff.
ozzy Posted October 7, 2005 Posted October 7, 2005 The unmarked beemer and its flashy comerade are parked up at the Beefeater in Livingston right now.
st3ph3n Posted October 7, 2005 Posted October 7, 2005 << And just heard from a mate that there's a camera van sitting on one of the flyovers on the M9 around the Kincardine turnoff. >> I can confirm that one. On the flyover where the M876 meets the M9. The doors open and facing towards stirling. So if you're coming from Stirling or down the M876 from the larbert direction then watch yourself. Not sure if it's speed or road tax or whatever, but not worth taking a risk.

Looks like some sort of raod survey but no idea for sure but as noted above, they were right at the corner and not in the middle of the bridge. Aye well shady.
Edinburgh-Chris Posted October 7, 2005 Posted October 7, 2005 The unmarked BMW pulled me in the centre of town when i was in a company car. Apparently i looked a bit to young to be driving a 330d coupe BMW identical to theirs! I thought i recognised the registration plate Chris
Gumball Posted October 7, 2005 Posted October 7, 2005 1 x gay camera van sitting on the cathkin braes in south glasgow at this very moment so i have just been told. BAMS
imprezapete Posted October 7, 2005 Posted October 7, 2005 Best of it is that camera van if its the tax disc one..... Sits out side my work lol :S
andy Posted October 7, 2005 Author Posted October 7, 2005 The camera vans on motorway flyovers are a no-no in my book. Motorways are the safest roads in Britain. At the speeds people tend to do, a last minute spot of one of them and a slam on the brakes could cause not just serious, but fatal accidents. It's only a matter of time, IMO I'll give Tayside their credit. They use vans, but always put vinyl signs up well in advance.
mark_rushforth Posted October 7, 2005 Posted October 7, 2005 Can't agree with you more. Passed under 1 on A74 towards carlisle, fookin thing was painted up like a contractors van, dull red with yellow striped detailing and it was only when i was really close that i spotted the words "safety camera" on the side in small black lettering. They shouldn't be able to get away with this the sneeky barstewards!
andy Posted October 7, 2005 Author Posted October 7, 2005 I don't Christopher. I'm thinking of all the sinners who do.
