sharon_mccall Posted October 3, 2005 Posted October 3, 2005 << Sharon, was I that bad ?!?!? >> No you are a great driver, just a little bit on the mental side and you set a really fast pace When i was behind you in the other motors i soon realised why i had felt ill!! Should rename you SpeedyPete..... lol Thanks again, Really enjoyed it.
ScoobyAndy Posted October 3, 2005 Posted October 3, 2005 << Should rename you SpeedyPete..... lol >> how about ScaryPete sounds better to me. Al hurry up and get that video posted!!!!! though i think iam still deaf from it
wrxmania Posted October 3, 2005 Posted October 3, 2005 Sounds great - wish I could have been there but hey! The runs are always memorable - hopefully none will be memorable for the wrong reasons, and it is good to see people showing a 'degree' of common sense - just a degree I add as otherwise the runs would be like the childrens taxi day outing Brian
irish al Posted October 3, 2005 Posted October 3, 2005 Had a great night last night, good pace and good driving by everyone. Thanks to the organisers again. Ghris thanks for giving me a shot in your car, Lyndsey tells me you thought I wasnt for comming back. It was a new camcorder and we didnt even get a dv lead with the camera so cant download the clip just now. Am not even sure if this computer has a DV port at the back. Once I get things sorted I will post the clip up. I dont even know how to do that yet Was nice to meet people we hadnt met before. Roll on the next one
sharon_mccall Posted October 3, 2005 Posted October 3, 2005 << Was nice to meet people we hadnt met before. Roll on the next one >> Just want to say it was great to meet you both. Hope to see you on the next run. ..............still smiling

Neofox Posted October 4, 2005 Posted October 4, 2005 Ha Ha what a evening My hat has to come off to Pete, that was a damn fine choice of roads you picked their! I know i only sampled the first 70 odd miles but was magical Anytime you feel like doing that again just shout and i`ll be there! Sorry for ditching you guys early, just with weather and closeness to home i thought i`d call it a night. Hope the rest of the run was as fun as the first part. Was really good to meet all you folk, and the luvly machinery (yes including the little ignis which looked like it was doubling up as a mini bus on the evening!!) Gumball, next time i get to see that car i will remember my bloody camcorder i have to get a vid of you a. bouncing it off the limiter, what a sound!! and b. lauching out of a junction at a bloody great rate of knots!! was fantastic. As for being smoked by a 17 year old we wont tell anyone about that Al, was a pleasure following you, nice exhaust note to listen to To everyone else it was nice to see you all and hope to see you again soon!
sharon_mccall Posted October 4, 2005 Posted October 4, 2005 Hey there Neofox, it got really really interesting and very very fast after you left. (like to say stuff twice to enhance) Some folk will do anything to get out of having me as a passenger....lol Nice to meet you.
Neofox Posted October 4, 2005 Posted October 4, 2005 Awww no way! i`m always up for passanger rides! LoL i`m usually found taxi'ing my family around! Hope Gumball was a gentleman when you guys left! (ie, fast and loud) That was my first run too and lets just say i liked that pace and off course so did the police as they seemed to think our driving was legal and curtious how right they were.
ScoobyAndy Posted October 4, 2005 Posted October 4, 2005 << (yes including the little ignis which looked like it was doubling up as a mini bus on the evening!!) >> it was. must be the fastest mini bus on the road i think. glad you made it along, just a shame you left when you did. the weather improved and the roads just got better and better.
