If you think thats bad................. I got a cobra 9 band detector as a present when these things started to come out and Ive only just realised that its probably for the U. S of F'ing A , not the UK! I guess that explains why my driving liscence is like reading a book LOLface-icon-small-shocked.gif

Cal, that's quite costly mate. Fair enough the Road Angel database is top notch, but you can get TomTom Go or PDA and TomTom software for cheaper, and download the free POIs of speed cameras, red light cameras, every shell station, every McDonalds and so forth too.

I agree but i always trade in my gadgets with http://www.networxautomotive.com/ and I like the fact you can just drop the Navigator into it's cradle. I have an IPAQ too but I want an nice integrated system . That's not to knock your and Wullie's systems, I just like my gizmo's. In the past i had a Bell Euro 550 and original RA. New house with double garage and leccy doors is coming so may investigate a door opener too << cough jammer cough >> face-icon-small-wink.gif

I cannot wait to get down to 6 points and relax a tad whilst making progress. 12 more months and I'll have nil pois face-icon-small-happy.gif

Cheers

Trade in you say? Your ideas intrigue me and I would like to subscribe to your newsletter.

I bought a classic road angel back in December from Halfords when it was half price. But it's a bit chunky.

I don't tend to use my Sat Nav (which is done via my phone) for the cameras, only if I'm going somewhere I don't know how to get to.

I have a road angel and a Tom Tom go and they are invaluable in the battle against speed traps. Iused to have a snooper until I upgraded, and even that saved my licence about 6 times. Well worth the money, but they are not the silver bullet, you still need to be paranoid and keep yer eyes peeled.

I was sure the mobile camera was built in to the new unit ,i have the old unit with seperate mobile laser detection.

When the law was going to be changed road angel said to comply i was only required to remove the laser detector, and on the new

unit there was a way to disable it on the unit.

There is a product on ebay i think its called sting but ill confirm tomorrow and this is to jam the detectors but are completely illegal and if caught with one you will get prosecuted.

Anyone remember the name of the unit ???

If you have a classic road angel and call them ,they will give you the no of a company they deal with that will give you trade in on a new unit.

See upgrade section in here ..................they will send the new gear ou same day and you have 6 days to send back your old dawg.

I traded the bell for the RA, then the RA for the MC, now will trade the MC for Navigator face-icon-small-confused.gif
