Help - need a centre pipe for a P1

as above need a centre section for my P1 whoever had the car before me must have changed the exhaust over at some point and its now blown.

i have managed to get a stainless back box but am having difficulty finding a standard centre section. i want to keep the car emissions legal as i dont have facilities to change over come MOT time so a decatted one not really an option.

anyone help or tell me where i will get one ??

I might be wrong, but I think the P1 exhaust is the same as any classic scoob - so all you need is a centre pipe from any classic. I have a fulll system from a classic sitting in my lockup, but it's got Zeolite's name on it at the moment. If you're interested, let me know and I'll chase Ian along and see if he still wants it.

The centre pipe on a P1 doesn't have a cat in it. I think the standard classic shape Impreza does have a cat in it. I think that's the only difference.

I've got the standard centre section off my P1 in the shed but it's blowing also I should really chuck it in the bin.

i might have in work will check tommorrow and p1 do come with cats on the centre section they were catted to pass the emissions test over here took it off a x plate to put on a de-cat pipe.

The thing that looks like a cat on the centre section of a P1 is a resonator. The only cat is in the downpipe.

P1 has only the one cat in the Downpipe and i think its a high flow cat

Eddie - P1 has only I Cat - in the downpipe. The Centre section has the outer shell to hold a Cat but doesn't have one in it.

cheers Russell i had sussed that one out after some investigation and from replies on here and P1WOC, i was concerned that it wouldnt meet the emissions for mot but that is not relevant as it doesnt have a cat in there anyway .. only a silencer i believe in the P1 so i've ordered a replacement on that basis but thanks for the info
