Err yeah I dunno ...........i wondered myself and thought that Russ might be doing it as it's kinder on the engine or sommit.

Was digging the dump valve, but that wasn't why I do it!

You'll notice Gav keeps the revs up too, albeit a little more smoothly.

Purpose is to keep the oil pressure up - we feel it is worthwhile and easier on the engine after a hard run.

Russs - you beat me to it. It's just to keep the Oil Pressure up more than anything else, they are just trying to keep your engine safe whilst it is in their possession. Quite decent of them, actually.
