ScoobySkid Posted September 5, 2005 Posted September 5, 2005 Hi all, i have a small problem. Having left my girlfriends house late last night i noticed my dashboard lights were not working. No problem with headlights. Got home and checked the fuse in the fuse box under the bonnet, fuse ok. Any ideas please?? Is there another fuse in the interior fuse box and if so where is the fuse box located?? I have not fitted anything electrical recently. Thanks in advance for your help. Mark
darryl_martin Posted September 5, 2005 Posted September 5, 2005 Just a thought as I'm no electrician but could it be anything to do with the "BRIGHT" switch guess its on the same circuit? Have heard of switches killing supply completely if faulty. Then again wouldn't go poking about too much unless you know what you're doing, electricity is nasty stuff and could lead to further damage to car or yourself.
ScoobySkid Posted September 6, 2005 Author Posted September 6, 2005 Thanks for the diagram Hol, i think it shows the fuse box in drivers footwell above the pedals. As for the bright switch i don't have one but thanks for the suggestion.
Deano 666 Posted September 11, 2005 Posted September 11, 2005 hello,do you have a dash light dim switch, if so have you turned it right down to the off posision, whist cleaning you dash?
ScoobySkid Posted September 14, 2005 Author Posted September 14, 2005 Sorted it thanks Hol, it was the fuse in the footwell, dunno what caused it but not had a problem for 3 days (and nights) now. Just as a side issue, apart from my speedo head clock lights, none of the surrounding ones work, ie. the rear screen heater, the hazard light switch, the fog light switch etc... are these normally backlit when the headlights are on???
Deano 666 Posted September 15, 2005 Posted September 15, 2005 yes thay are. i think thay have got little 1.2w bulbs inside the switches.
Deano 666 Posted September 18, 2005 Posted September 18, 2005 come to think about it, i dont mine do either!
