As above, I'm selling this item.

It came off a New Age (MY04) but will fit bugeyes aswell as blobeyes.

Been on the car for 3000 miles max, only 4 months old.

Cost me £135, selling for £60. In perfect working order and good as new.

The wife doesn't like it so it has to go face-icon-small-sad.gif I think it sounds great, not overly loud but just right. Go on, you know you want to !!

In Edinburgh area so buyer collects or can arrange postage for additional cost. I will travel a little, within reason.

Wish i'd known you were selling this yesterday James, just bought one off eBay for £55. Can't get for a week-and-a-half as i need to send seller a cheque (already sent i'm afraid).

Good luck with the sale.

Received, fitted and well chuffed. Nice sound - not at all overpowering and noticable reduced turbo lag face-icon-small-happy.gif

My first ever mod. Me happy - though I can see how it could easily become addictive (shuffles off to EBay to look at those STi strut braces) face-icon-small-wink.gif

Andy, get a good backbox. It makes driving all the more pleasurable. I think my turbo spools up earlier and stronger than before too.

Dump valve is high on my list of future mods.

Was it easy to fit? I should be getting mine in the post middle of next week.

Got a STi-stylee strut brace fitted to mine and it makes a noticeable difference (well, so i think anyway)

It would have been if I could have found my mole grips. That spring grip on the hose is bloody strong. With a set of mole grips and a spanner, it shouldn't take more than 10 mins - if that.

On another note that I never thought of - mentioned to a mate I'd done it and his response (apart from "poser"!) was "Have you told your insurance company?" That's something I never even considered. Given they use any excuse not to cough up, at what point do you tell them you've modified the vehicle? Dump valve doesn't increase performance, but strictly is a modification to the standard spec of the vehicle. What do the rest of you do? (Excuse my ignorance here. Every car I've ever had until the Scoob has been a company car)

Andy..... my insurance co know about my tinted windows, 18" wheels and the STi-style spoiler. Nothing else.

I am, however, adding the rest of the mods on when i renew in October. I don't think i'd tell them about the dump valve tbh, but maybe. After all, if it only takes 10 mins to fit then if anything was to go wrong it could easily be swapped back for the original (assuming, of course, that you were still able to do this and not laid up on a ward with two broken legs!!)

Everything I've done to mine is not declared. But it's all very easily reversed.

I'm due to renew in October-ish, so I will maybe see what they want for "proposed mods", which will all be miraculously fitted on the renewal date.

Funny that eh?

I've no intention of telling them. They're ripping me off as it is due to 17 years of company cars and no real no-claims history.

BTW, My mate's suggested this as my next Mod. It's jealousy, I'm sure face-icon-small-smile.gif

Glad you like the dump valve Andy, told you it was easy to fit.

I never told the insurance company as they stiff you enough as it is !!

May you have many hours of brum tsshhhh ahead of you....
