sheep Posted August 9, 2005 Posted August 9, 2005 My mate has a P1 and is needing new disc's but is having trouble finding replacements other than the original prodrive one's that he has been quoted 700 quid for. What disc's would you recommend and where from? Cheers paul.
dave_morgan Posted August 10, 2005 Posted August 10, 2005 It depends which brakes he's got fitted. If it's the standard P1 brakes (the black 4 pots) he should have no problem. I'm guessing however it's the upgraded prodrive jobbies from what you're saying - in which case godspeed may be your best option. If he's still got a warranty on the car, he should check with the warranty company that these parts won't invalidate his warranty though!! Sounds stupid perhaps, but I've heard of cases where unrelated parts have invalidated warranty claims on P1's !! Dave
dave_morgan Posted August 10, 2005 Posted August 10, 2005 Check over on the P1 owners site too... www.p1woc.co.uk Bound to be a few people in the know over there too..
P1_Paul Posted August 10, 2005 Posted August 10, 2005 I know you've had problems with the warranty Kart_man, but I've had over £2K's worth of warrenty work done on my P1 in the last year, I have the full GodSpeed conversion.
sheep Posted August 10, 2005 Author Posted August 10, 2005 Thanks lads. It is the upgraded prodrive one's that he has. He just had a major engine repair on warranty and now has a one year warranty one the engine so i am sure he will check first before doing any mods. Cheers paul.
