Anyway more importantly I'M NOT A NEWBIE ANY MORE, only took 17 months!

My car is losing fuel like there's no tomorrow at the moment. It was dripping last week so I removed the plastic guard from the pipe down to the tank, which only seems to hold all the road muck and cause the pipe to corrode. Cleaned off all the corrosion and found the pipe was like a sieve only with bigger holes. Managed to patch it or so I thought, went to put petrol in today and ended up with a 1m diameter wet patch on the forecourt! Only stopped leaking when at 1/4 full. I've got a new pipe coming tomorrow.

Optimax has just gone up as well 94.9p per litre and I can't keep it in the tank.
