gordyN01 Posted July 1, 2005 Posted July 1, 2005 does a 04 sti have droplinks as standard and what effect will it be fitting new whiteline ones?
JamesF Posted July 1, 2005 Posted July 1, 2005 Alright Gordy, they do indeed have drop links all round however the rear ones are made of plastic with rubber bushes. If you change the rear ones for the whiteline alloy ones and get a prodrive geometry set up you'll notice a major reduction in understeer and a whole lot more fun from the rear. Go for it, you won't look back !!
st3ph3n Posted July 1, 2005 Posted July 1, 2005 Unless you accidentally have too much fun with the rear end!
scuba dou Posted July 2, 2005 Posted July 2, 2005 Best ?bang for your buck? you will ever spend on a new age Sti is fit the Whiteline rear anti roll bar with solid drop links, together with the anti dive kit at the front end. You can get the parts from PowerStation and the likes of Falkland can fit the parts and set the car up. Transforms the handling...all for a few hundred pounds
Gumball Posted July 2, 2005 Posted July 2, 2005 or as a lot of folk are now realising the powerflex ones are the kiddy and although cost more, seem to be slightly better. sorry
coulty Posted July 2, 2005 Posted July 2, 2005 Lets be honest here that the solid billet rear droplinks are not going to see the kind of forces that would make them so much better to the whiteline steel rear droplinks. Even powerstation admits that and that they are in essence only for cosmetic purposes. Stuart
