Right, Im stuck.....

I need a tool to take the spoiler off my Buggy and my socket set does not have a deep enough head to get throught the boot frame.face-icon-small-blush.gif

Is there anyone out there, preferably Glasgow West End or nearby who may wish to give me a loan of such a tool for a couple of days?..................I need it for Thursday though.............

Also, does anyone know where I can get sticky sponge (type stuff) to run round the base of the replacement one to stop the rain etc getting in?

Matey,

Try Halfords. Its a 10mm deep drive socket you needface-icon-small-wink.gif

Just get a 1/4 drive as it will be cheapest

They should sell the strips too, but to be fair you dont need it, the best idea might be to use a blob of silicon when fitting it.

But, remember that when you lift off your existing wing there will be little rubber seals that you can use.

You dont need to drill any holes to fit the new one, so there should be enough of the old seals to get you home and dry face-icon-small-tongue.gif

Gimme a shout if you need a hand.

P.s remember to feed the loom for the light down through the hole and check its free before you bolt the new wing down tight face-icon-small-wink.gif

Thanks Guys,

So.. Its just off and on!!!

I'd forgotten about the existing rubber seals - i take it that they are not glued to the existing spoiler?!!? ( need to check ive still got them as someone nicked my last one face-icon-small-happy.gifisgustface-icon-small-wink.gif

Ive taken off the screws along the base of the spoiler to save any drilling hassle and was going to get some sort of adhesive instead but I suppose I could just bolt it down and see!

Thanks again chaps

Just off and on its as easy as that. The rubber seals are not stuck on. I just put a blob of silicon around the 4 holes inside and out just be on the safe side and it was watertight. If your does not have a rear brake light remember and cover the hole where the original cable came through. I got my deep socket from halfords and it did the trick.
