imprezapete Posted June 9, 2005 Posted June 9, 2005 Hi, just a quick note. A few of the East Lothian/Borders members had said that some of the meetings are a bit far for them to attend. So I had a word with Scott (Spooks) at the last meeting. The result is that we are going to have the June one at the Craig house, Brewers Fayre just outside Musselburgh. Anyway I was hoping for a strong show from all you East Lothian and Borders based people to add to the Lothian?s meetings in the hope that we may have more in the future. I do hope that all the West Lothian?s/Glasgow people come as well. The Brewers Fayre is only 15 miles from the End of the M8 (Hermiston Gate) along the Edinburgh Bypass and the first turn off the A1 heading south. To all the new members get yourselves along and see what you?re missing as this lot are really friendly to us new people. It's a nice Pub with a good coupe of parking area just outside Musselburgh/Whitecraig so your cars will be nice and safe. Any comments or questions, feel free to post. Cheers Pete
ScoobyAndy Posted June 9, 2005 Posted June 9, 2005 here here! about time some of the eastlothian/borders lot made the effort to get to a meet!

Johnny50 Posted June 15, 2005 Posted June 15, 2005 Pete, This isnt meant to cause any offence, as we appreciate your efforts on this... but what was wrong with the original Stables Bar meet location ? Only a further 10 mins drive for the East Lothian guys... Just wonderin matey, thats all.
imprezapete Posted June 15, 2005 Author Posted June 15, 2005 Ah nothing m8, that would be fine for me. But I was just trying to give the far East Lothian and the borders people no excuss not to come. The west Lothian venus is a 100mile round trip for me let alone from dunbar or Berwick apon Tweed. Central edinburgh is no bother for me, just trying to get some more people reeled in as the Edinburgh/Lothians members seem thin on the ground compared to Glasgow or central/Perthshire. I may be wrong, but thats the impression I get from here.
Johnny50 Posted June 15, 2005 Posted June 15, 2005 Aye, you could be right there Pete. Once they`ve started coming along, they`ll maybe realise that the meets are worth travelling for. See you Friday.
imprezapete Posted June 15, 2005 Author Posted June 15, 2005 if you coming from Berwick its around 200miles in total. Thats £30 of optimax or a tank if your canning it
