oobster Posted April 15, 2005 Posted April 15, 2005 Fiance was at Tesco in Bathgate tonight (between 5.45pm & 6.15pm) doing the weekyl shop & when she came out some git had whacked the back quarter of her motor - stoved it right in (not just a wee scrape). Didn't leave a name or anything, reported it to the police who are going to ask Tesco to study any CCTV they may have.... dont hold out much hope though. Looks like it MIGHT need a new back quarter, so it's an insurance job.
~ ~ Cal ~~ Posted April 15, 2005 Posted April 15, 2005 Thats why and try and perform " The Selfish Tam" i.e go over two spaces if there's enough room in the car park ! It drives Natalie nuts though Sorry to hear about this matey

evojkp Posted April 15, 2005 Posted April 15, 2005 Wifes car got knobbled the same there a couple of years back. CCTV....like you say don't hold yer breath. Average Tesco worker cannot work the zip on their trousers, never mind a VCR. Not because they can't. just that they won't.

p3dro Posted April 15, 2005 Posted April 15, 2005 Bang out of order. I got my bumper sprayed on the Friday before the MMR and someone had scraped it in Fountain Park on the sunday night Aaaaaghhhhh
2559B Posted April 15, 2005 Posted April 15, 2005 << Average Tesco worker cannot work the zip on their trousers, never mind a VCR. Not because they can't. just that they won't. >> I WORK FOR TESCO !!!!!!!!!! bad news oobster! sorry to hear this.
p3dro Posted April 15, 2005 Posted April 15, 2005 << << >> I WORK FOR TESCO !!!!!!!!!! >> Oooooops LOL
Stiks Posted April 15, 2005 Posted April 15, 2005 Sorry to hear that oobster.... mine was done in Morrisons in Livi a couple of weeks ago, and I also had a mysterious orange stripe on my offside rear arch last night !! WTF is going on? Pedro - where did you get your bumper done ( Edinburgh area ?) ... I need a little bit of tidying done on mine ??? Keith
gordon_kerr Posted April 15, 2005 Posted April 15, 2005 Sorry to hear oobs man, i got a dink at the local morrison store and like the guys are saying i now always park well away from everything and take up 2 spaces, others may think it's selfish but then they dont have to pay the repair bills
oobster Posted April 15, 2005 Author Posted April 15, 2005 fortunately it wasn't the scoob, but her 206 is only just over a year old. Getting quotes for it this afternoon, hope it doesn't need a new rear quarter. I've "politely asked" her to park well away from other cars in future (having pointed this out to her numerous times in the past - but women always know best!!!) so perhaps this "incident" will prove that i was right (just for a wee change).
MS S6CUB Posted April 15, 2005 Posted April 15, 2005 I've been trained to park at the very back of the car park... it's a bugger in high heels i tell you No matter where you park though, even in the most remote part of car park someone will park beside you - its inevitable..
p3dro Posted April 15, 2005 Posted April 15, 2005 I parked in PC world(serves me right) the other day, I was miles away from anything in 2 spaces. I came back to find an old micra inches from me WHY!!!!!!!!! Stiks, wasn't too happy with the job done on mine used a roadside quick repair one but Dad has just had his done and seems pretty good and reasonable price. £150 for his STI6 spoiler and colour coding the skirts and stuff. PM him and see what he says and I can put you in contact with the guy who did it.

oobster Posted April 15, 2005 Author Posted April 15, 2005 I always used Steve Walker - was always more than happy with his work until he did the front door on a metallic silver Audi A4 and didn't feather-in the paint onto the back door, you could see the difference in shade a mile off. To give Steve his due, he did re-do the repair to my complete satisfaction (but he was a wee bit grumpy about it). Got to admit that my maker did not bless me with ANY patience though, which can get on some people's t*ts. He does all the repairs for Lomond Audi in Glasgow i believe, so he can't be that bad & he's always busy! Dawn took her 206 down there today, Stevie reckons it doesn't need a new quarter but he's booked up for the next 2 weeks, so that shows how popular he is. His number is 01506 633471

You dear Sir as a Scooby driver are obvioulsy above average. I bet they let your confidence loose on the forklifts and product scanners behind the scenes. In seriousness no offence meant. but I feel I may now have to shop at lidls or Kwik-krap
Stiks Posted April 16, 2005 Posted April 16, 2005 << << << >> You want to Steve Walker in Bathgate mate John. >> q] Cheers mate - Bathgate is handy. how's your boy coming along? Mine is teething - feckin nightmare ! Keith

evojkp Posted April 16, 2005 Posted April 16, 2005 I was the same. Worked in Fine Fare many moons ago. Ride on pallet lifter was the business. Sometimes get a play on the all terrain forklifts at work. They are serious fun especially on 4x4 config
mark_rushforth Posted April 16, 2005 Posted April 16, 2005 It really does my head in when dickheads damage cars in whatever fashion. It was probably a works van if the idoits who drive round my way are anything to go by.Think they're ayrton senna cos it's not their motor. People like that need a good hiding to show them the error of their ways! I Hope it's not too pricey, sorry to hear about it chap.
C J K Posted April 16, 2005 Posted April 16, 2005 Watched a female park, naw squeeeeze, a copper coloured 350 Z in between 2 cars tonight @ Tesco broughton rd., plenty other spaces but she would have had to walk further She chose to reverse in too which made it all the more exciting
scoobymadburd Posted April 16, 2005 Posted April 16, 2005 When i had my VW Golf i was park in a disabled space with my badge up and cause my car was gleaming with nice tinits etc they gave me a nice big scratch from the Front wing to the Rear quarter panel and also flattened two of my tyres!! Found out who done it and the police dealt with it. Turns out it was only done cos a nice car was in a disabled space!!!!! Claire
john_robertson Posted April 16, 2005 Posted April 16, 2005 >> Are they good John(maybe a silly question) how is their pricing? >> Pete, Steve has always been really good with me and his pricing is pretty good for "non-insurance" work the only downside is getting your car booked in he's generally mega busy. Steve used to do a lot of paint work for show cars/custom work/ restoration he was also pretty good at make one-off stuff. John.
