Stiks Posted April 29, 2005 Posted April 29, 2005 Doh - yeh worked it out last night while having a play. Semi permanently connected now til I can take some of the dash apart to hide the cables. QUite pleased with it really. WOuld be good to know what the "subaru standard" readings should be for some of the data. Keith
Stiks Posted April 29, 2005 Posted April 29, 2005 Peak boost reading 1.27 bar ..... good or bad for std STI ????
wrxmania Posted April 29, 2005 Posted April 29, 2005 Looking good Keith. I especially like what you've done with the wire
Stiks Posted April 29, 2005 Posted April 29, 2005 << I especially like what you've done with the wire >> Gizza brek man - I did say semi -permanent...... that means the weekend weather permitting
st3ph3n Posted April 29, 2005 Posted April 29, 2005 Where I've stuck mine left it really easy to hide the wire in the gaps of the trim. There's also a great shelf behind the steering column where you can bundle up the wire and stick it down to keep it out of the way.
Stiks Posted April 29, 2005 Posted April 29, 2005 Right Brian.... visited the CustomScoobies.com site so the next piccie I post will be wire free.
wrxmania Posted April 29, 2005 Posted April 29, 2005 Well done Keith, Not saying anything I do is any better BTW! Is it a good piece of kit? Brian
Stiks Posted April 30, 2005 Posted April 30, 2005 Yeh - can't really afford the defi eye candy thing at the moment. Its a nice we gadget to play with and has some useful info. boost, inlet temp, ignition, water temp few buzzers, peak displays etc. Ideally would like oil pressure and temp Hey only kiddin by the way . But the wire will be invisible by tonite. Semi contemplating doing the head unit in the next few weeks. Fed up with the green display and shoite sound. Keith
wrxmania Posted April 30, 2005 Posted April 30, 2005 I have boost and Oil Temp. in mine. Head unit and front door speakers are an absolute must - the speakers are terrible too. The difference will be a lot although the Impreza is not a great sounding car - I miss the install I had in my last car - it did sound good and was naturally good for acoustics. The Impreza is not unfortunately. However, even a sub-£100 head unit will be better than the Kenwood unit fitted by Subaru. Brian
