zeolite Posted March 16, 2005 Posted March 16, 2005 Anybody done this? Do I need to slacken off the handbrake cable beforehand? if so how? thanks
Highlander68000 Posted March 16, 2005 Posted March 16, 2005 You don't necessarily need to slacken it off. If it does require it, then the adjuster is just behind the handbrake lever. You'll have to unscrew the surround. What are you putting on the back? If you go too serious, then you may benefit from fitting a bias valve.
zeolite Posted March 16, 2005 Author Posted March 16, 2005 I had the calipers off but couldn't shift the discs even with bolts screwed in on the front of the disc. just replacing 70k old worn discs.
billyboy Posted March 16, 2005 Posted March 16, 2005 There will be a big ridge on the rear of the disc and its sometimes very hard to get the discs of cause they catch on the brake shoes
