Scott P Posted February 20, 2005 Posted February 20, 2005 What tyres will be standard on a set of 18" wheels on a MY04 WRX? Should they be 225/40/18? Would I get away with running 215/35/18's or change to the above? Any help much appreciated!
johns Posted February 21, 2005 Posted February 21, 2005 225/40 would be the correct size for STi models. 215/35 would be correct for the WRX. John
Boyakasha Posted February 21, 2005 Posted February 21, 2005 John I have a set of the WR1 wheels for Joanne's car so I hope that the 225/45/17 Tyres will be ok. Marc PS Scott how you getting on with the exhaust
~ ~ Cal ~~ Posted February 21, 2005 Posted February 21, 2005 Marc - the 225/45/17 fit my whip without hinderance Scottie - whats other mods you got planned the ? Cal
Scott P Posted February 22, 2005 Author Posted February 22, 2005 Marc, exhaust is superb! Has a lovely note & has definitely improved the responsiveness of the car, DV just compliments it nicely. Thanks again for both! Cal just bought myself a set of PFF7's, was just checking to see exactly what tyres should go on them? Should be ready to rock for the SIDC day Hopefullycar should go in at the end of the week to get the springs on Did you get your new DV, whats the next mod on the list?? So take it, its not adviseable to put 225/40/18's on a WRX then guys?
Scott P Posted February 23, 2005 Author Posted February 23, 2005 Any ideas to where I could get a good price on 225/40/18 tyres? Whats are others running on theres just to get an idea? Toyo's, Pirelli's??
Boyakasha Posted February 23, 2005 Posted February 23, 2005 Toyo T1S-R seems to be the flavour of the month, try Black Circles or Mytyres Marc
