Is this just a meet in a carpark ? Have you asked permission ?face-icon-small-wink.gif Just checking as you didn't own up to organising the last one when the cops turned up

face-icon-small-cool.gif. Dont want to travel 40 mile each way just to get turned away by the copsface-icon-small-tongue.gif.

The 'Urban Racing' title is always going to get attention.

I will not be attending. Euro Central is notorious for its so called 'handling circuit' and '1/4 mile strip'

SIDC does not condone any type of 'Urban Racing' or misuse of the public highway.

Liam, I know this is not your intention, but it only takes one to spoil it.

Best of luck.

P.S. Higgy is on the octane booster by looks of things!! face-icon-small-happy.gif

I didn't know that EuroCentral was notorious for that, I did have alternative locations in mind. that sort of thing is what i have been trying to avoid all along and the last thing i want to see is lunatics inviting theselves to our meet and dragging it into chaos. i will pick one of the other locations i had in mind and let you know what i decide

NP Liam.

Thanks for the response. We are all under scruitiny as the police monitor most car related forums.

If we don't break the law we are mighty fine.

One donut also equals a mighty fine, horty, mot etc etc etc.

Be SAFE and GODSPEED

It wasn?t the case we never owned up to organising the event. I would have quite happily admitted that i took part in organising the event. Unfortunately i wasn?t around when the police came. I also was in contact with braehead about using there car park before that event and they didn?t have a prob. Must have been the police on the night!

As for the next event we will get everything agreed to and hopefully have another successful meet

Sounds good to me,iff it's organised properly the organisers can't be at fault if some idiot(s) start doing donuts or drifting around roundabouts, even worse if they're in a dealership loaned carface-icon-small-shocked.gifface-icon-small-shocked.gif

Del, comments like that could get me into trouble.

Yes I had a spirited drive in a car loaned to me for the evening. I did not exceed, or even try to reach any limits the car possesed.

Harvey Taylor (sales manager for Halley's of Milngavie) is registered on these forums and hopefully soon, the dealership will be offering some discounted services to SIDC members.
