higgy Posted February 5, 2005 Posted February 5, 2005 hi Youd be beter the neds of the list then.............Scoobynet!!!!!!!!
malky Posted February 6, 2005 Posted February 6, 2005 Is this just a meet in a carpark ? Have you asked permission ? Just checking as you didn't own up to organising the last one when the cops turned up . Dont want to travel 40 mile each way just to get turned away by the cops.
dougster Posted February 6, 2005 Posted February 6, 2005 The 'Urban Racing' title is always going to get attention. I will not be attending. Euro Central is notorious for its so called 'handling circuit' and '1/4 mile strip' SIDC does not condone any type of 'Urban Racing' or misuse of the public highway. Liam, I know this is not your intention, but it only takes one to spoil it. Best of luck. P.S. Higgy is on the octane booster by looks of things!!

dougster Posted February 6, 2005 Posted February 6, 2005 NP Liam. Thanks for the response. We are all under scruitiny as the police monitor most car related forums. If we don't break the law we are mighty fine. One donut also equals a mighty fine, horty, mot etc etc etc. Be SAFE and GODSPEED
Allan Posted February 8, 2005 Posted February 8, 2005 << Just checking as you didn't own up to organising the last one when the cops turned up >> It wasn?t the case we never owned up to organising the event. I would have quite happily admitted that i took part in organising the event. Unfortunately i wasn?t around when the police came. I also was in contact with braehead about using there car park before that event and they didn?t have a prob. Must have been the police on the night! As for the next event we will get everything agreed to and hopefully have another successful meet
derek_robertson Posted February 8, 2005 Posted February 8, 2005 Sounds good to me,iff it's organised properly the organisers can't be at fault if some idiot(s) start doing donuts or drifting around roundabouts, even worse if they're in a dealership loaned car POT,KETTLE & BLACK springs to mind Del
the squiggle Posted February 8, 2005 Posted February 8, 2005 Good point well put, Del, even though i dont know what you are talking about. Grant
dougster Posted February 8, 2005 Posted February 8, 2005 Del, comments like that could get me into trouble. Yes I had a spirited drive in a car loaned to me for the evening. I did not exceed, or even try to reach any limits the car possesed. Harvey Taylor (sales manager for Halley's of Milngavie) is registered on these forums and hopefully soon, the dealership will be offering some discounted services to SIDC members. Regards Dougs
karps Posted February 8, 2005 Posted February 8, 2005 il try and get along to this one liam. aint been any probs in the past (exept the first one) with a good turnout of good lookin motors
SEEVERS Posted February 8, 2005 Posted February 8, 2005 should be up for this as long as i'm not working... the more meets i attend the better.
