gordon_kerr Posted February 1, 2005 Author Posted February 1, 2005 Ma ole man was Hearts daft and got me to do the mascot thing against the Celts when i was 6 year old, drew busby , jeffries , cruikshank , donald park , willie gibson, rab prentice and kenny aird were all prominent back then, am i giving my age away yet? I have followed Hearts ever since and now with 3 kids myself all with their own Hearts strips i still get up to Gorgie whenever the missus turns her back for a second......for the record i was not a lucky mascot we got stuffed 4-0 that day at tynecastle, met jock stein and dalglish that day....great fun for a young kid....almost as much fun as the scooby!!!!!

catalunya80 Posted February 2, 2005 Posted February 2, 2005 Welcome aboard mate! - from the only Hibby (i think!) on the board!
RossRB5 Posted February 3, 2005 Posted February 3, 2005 Hi everyone, just got my forum registration sorted out. I spoke to Gordon via email last week following his post on here. I live in Glasgow but my family stay in Dumfries so I'm down quite often at weekends visiting etc. I've got an RB5 WR Sport-spec Impreza with white PIAA driving lamp covers so if anyone sees me going about in either Glasgow or in Dumfries, give us a flash (of the lights obviously......;-))! I know a few people in Dumfries with scoobies, and yeah they seem to be quite popular down there! Cheers Ross
SEEVERS Posted February 4, 2005 Posted February 4, 2005 Hi Ross welcome mate, where are you in glasgow....? --------------------------------------------------------------------------- i can only get faster Del.
moto Posted February 4, 2005 Posted February 4, 2005 Hello Ross. Welcome aboard. Maybe see you around town.
fraser_drinkwater Posted February 4, 2005 Posted February 4, 2005 ALRIGHTY ROSS.WELCOME TO THE LAND OF SCOOBY PETROL HEADS.
RossRB5 Posted February 4, 2005 Posted February 4, 2005 Thanks for the welcome folks. Sorry to have hijacked the thread Gordon! I stay in West End of Glasgow, Del. You in Glasgow aswell? Yeah I've seen your car going about Dumfries, moto, on St Michaels St a while back IIRC. I got the RB5 just before Christmas so I had it in Dumfries for a week or so over the holidays. I used to have a grey Escort RS Turbo with reggy B16 RPN (to be found on the Impreza very soon) which you may have seen going about Dumfries? Where abouts in the town do you stay? My parents stay in Calside, up from the Jolly Harvester pub.
RossRB5 Posted February 4, 2005 Posted February 4, 2005 I'll look out for you swiggi, what colour is yours? I almost bought a WR Blue Bugeye, but the RB5 came up at the right price and I really wanted one for ages. You work at BAE or something, what with the submarine on your avatar?
martin_brown Posted February 5, 2005 Posted February 5, 2005 Hi Gordon - and everyone else I'm yet another newbie from Dumfries having just got the car before christmas. It's a WR Blue Bugeye Wagon and i love it to bits. If i see any of you about i'll give you a wave. Quick question, does the desire to spend money and modify the car pass with time or am i in for a money-free future? Cheers Martin
ANDYJDMSTI Posted February 5, 2005 Posted February 5, 2005 Welcome mabelcable, unfortunately you will be money free for quite a while now but it is enjoyable!!!!
