Connecting my ipod

Those wireless tuner thingies are actually illegal in the UK (it's like having your own little pirate radio station). But you can pick them up on the web (US ebay for one)

Failing that you'd need to get an fm modulator to plug the ipod into or have a head unit that can take inputs. I think Alpine do a headunit that is already for the ipod (complete with controls)

A slightly cheaper method, but messier would be one of those cassettes that you plug the ipod into (Argos etc have them)

What stereo do you have?

There's a few ways:-

1. If it's an Alpine and Ai-Net compatible then you can buy a specific adaptor that lets you control the iPod from the headunit buttons.

2. Dension do an iPod adaptor for various headunits as well as some OE stuff. Again, you get control from the headunti as it looks like a CD changer to it.

3. Hook it up to the AUX input on the stereo - you won't be able to control it using the headunit

4. Although the Apple iPod FM tuner is illegal, you can get a Belkin one for the UK. One of the girls in my work uses it for another MP3 player and it works a treat.
