dougster Posted February 2, 2005 Posted February 2, 2005 The sti was from Halleys in Milngavie and Harvey Taylor (sales manager) kindly lent me it for a 24 hour test drive. I was at the dealership on SIDC business in the morning, more details to follow. (or ask swiggi for non-official party line!!! ) As for the jacket, I will wear what I like when I like. (I don't see SIDC meeting dress codes in the rules? ) I'm sure Bladerider had his scooby socks on which will make up for things!!! My girlfriend works for a HONDA dealer and funnily enough doesn't get FREE Subaru jackets. I wonder if Del would have turned me away if had actually turned up in the second option avaliable to me last night. A bright yellow HONDA JAZZ SE Sport!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
andrew_duff Posted February 2, 2005 Posted February 2, 2005 Someones had a sense of humour by pass Come on man some of us are just up for a laugh get with the programe Dougster no harm ment You did suite the jacket it made you look exotic .......or was that the suntan. Andy
derek_robertson Posted February 2, 2005 Posted February 2, 2005 << I wonder if Del would have turned me away if had actually turned up in the second option avaliable to me last night. A bright yellow HONDA JAZZ SE Sport!!!!!!!!!!!!!! >> I wouldn't have had any problem Dougster, nowt to do with me!!!!!!!!!!!!! ....being a democratic forum this allows you to wear what you want ,drive what you want, you pay your membership...so that's all that really matters.........the rest is just friendly humour & banter Del

scoobymadburd Posted February 2, 2005 Posted February 2, 2005 Hi Really good meeting boys well done, im going to seriously have to start my friends coming to the meets so its not just me, mrs keap and baby keap! Rock on the Scooby chicks!!!! Dougster i was down in my WRC want to be Hyundai and yes i did get a slagging so i would not have bothered if you had a nice yellow car i used to have a yellow car myself looked liked the dogs b@ll@cks. Was nice to see you attend and would be glad to see you in future events maybe next time we will talk??? Claire
ozzy Posted February 2, 2005 Posted February 2, 2005 LOL; never seen so many Subaru jackets in a bar before. I had to decline Bladeriders offer to show me his Subaru underpants though
Bladerider Posted February 2, 2005 Posted February 2, 2005 It was quite a big turn out and because of that, I suppose some of us were unable to talk to everybody we wanted to. I didn't even get a chance to say hello to one or two of the Ayrshire regulars, including our very own R.O. (sorry Del). ...and I wasn't wearing Subaru socks, or any Subaru clothing of any kind. I did however buy something to wear (Subaru related) from Ebay very recently. It cost me £3.50, and it's coming all the way from Hong Kong. I should have it by the next Ayrshire meet and you will ALL want one.
dougster Posted February 2, 2005 Posted February 2, 2005 Brain, typical filthy mind of your's as per. Wullie, anytime m8. Just catch me while you can!!! I need a name badge to remember WHO I AM at these meets!!
wilky Posted February 2, 2005 Posted February 2, 2005 Nice to meet y'all! Been a member for years but this is the first time Ive been able to meet everyone! The Honda salesman with the New STi was nice, he must have been on holiday recently, and the wee guy with the kevlar plating in his jacket dissapeared later on. (I think the big bloke with his picture round his neck ate him!!) Seiously thanks for all the trivial banter, and Grant your car was great! I like your exhaust, in fact............. Callum
dougster Posted February 2, 2005 Posted February 2, 2005 oops, Sorry Claire. Too busy liking the wagon!!!!! Wullie did say hello!!!!
ozzy Posted February 2, 2005 Posted February 2, 2005 << (I think the big bloke with his picture round his neck ate him!!) >> PMSL
stephen_fergus2 Posted February 2, 2005 Posted February 2, 2005 Was one of the best and busiest meets ever . Well done to everyone that turned up . Liked the location and grub wasn't too bad either eh Grant ? .......... although £1.41 for a standard coke is a tad steep ! See you all at the Ayrshire meet .. You got that agenda typed up yet Andy? One more idea for the pot .. any fliers or leaflets that we could use to recruit new members ? Was at Braehead today where I parked beside a Blue 03 FILTHY Sti , and met a guy called Rab in a Black 04 Sti ( who was at the last Dastek RR ) who parked beside me . In both cases it would've been good to give them a flier etc or even leave on the windscreen . Cheers, Steve
dougster Posted February 2, 2005 Posted February 2, 2005 I had flyers with me Steve. They were getting passed about. I can send some out if you PM me your address.
andrew_duff Posted February 3, 2005 Posted February 3, 2005 This has already been discussed at previous meetings and an update will be discussed at the next Ayrshire meet. Need to speak with the Ayrshire R.o (respec the del ) but after speaking on Monday I'm sure we will have an agendy sorted. Andy .
derek_robertson Posted February 3, 2005 Posted February 3, 2005 Questions have been asked upstairs people, just waiting on reply!!! I have some postcard type flyers which are a temporary solution to what we require, can dish these out at next Ayrshire meet on 11th feb at Kilmarnock(gotta get my plug in ) An agenda will be posted shortly, don't hesitate to pm me any more suggestions. See yaz, Del
